Waves Surf Shop — Local services in Tybee Island

When my husband and I came down last week, we stopped at Waves as we always do. We saw some items outside under the $5.00 tent that I wanted to purchase. I went inside and saw a sale on the bathing suits and tried to call my husbamd, sitting in the car, to bring my purse. I couldn't get him on the phone and politely asked the cashier at the counter if she would hold my items from outside. ( I've seen them show out on a kid because they thought he stole a bracelet from them that he bought down the street ) I come back in and let them know that I'm back and I proceed to spend roughly 20 minutes picking 12 bathing suits. I get to the register and let the girl there now know about my other items. She says the other woman put them back. She called the other woman over who, mind you, was standing and stocking next to us the entire time, walked over with a smug attitude and said that I had waited to long and after 15 minutes went by she put them back. I reminded her that I spent that 15 minutes shopping the merchandise in her store. She shrugged and smirked and said to the girl currently at the register, "It was 15 minutes... I put them back." Needless to say, I felt very offended by her attitude about it. She never offered a sorry or anything. Just entitlement. I laid twelve bathing suits down on the counter and told her she could put them back as well. She saw us next to her the entire time and maybe it wouldn't have taken me so long if the bottom of the bathing suits were anywhere near the tops. I came here at least once a week. It may not mean much to her the hundred or two we spent there every week, but it's our hard earned money and it means something to us. The 20 years we have been coming to the island with our family we have NOT encountered such rudeness and disrespect as if we were beneath her. None of us will be shopping...

Won't visit this shop again. I have gone in this shop every year when my friends visit from out of state. We buy sweatshirts every year to commemorate the visit and this year when we shopped the sign said 2/$30 on the quarter zip sweatshirts. We each picked out two, went to the counter to pay for them and the clerk rang them up for $55. When we pointed out the fact that the sign stated 2/$30, the clerk said it must have been a mistake, refused to honor the price, went from behind the counter, took the sign down and stated she couldn't sell it to us for that. We asked to speak to a manager or an owner but she made no attempt to call one and was...

I went into that store and seen bedbugs I was disgusted.The bugs was crawling in that store like crazy,I’ve also seen them scratching like a maniac and then I seen some bugs in the hair of the employees, seen some lice crawling.Which was disgusting,I’ve also seen roaches in that store and many other bugs.

One of those employees got in my faces to scam me with the prices,I didnt realize it was a scam I was awfully afraid of getting lice.Also they scammed me with my shirts it was 109$.They said it was supposed to be 12$, anyways they didn’t even give me the same shirt!Ive seen bugs on those two shirts, it...
