Best Western — Hotel in Warren

My husband and I came here to get out of the house and relax for a night and we did anything but. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to a roach crawling on you then finding them crawling in the bathroom as soon as the light switch is turned on!!! (And no, we do not and have not ever had them and nor brought them and would gladly provide a home inspection if it came to it!) My husband took the one that was on him to the lobby and showed the front desk receptionist and I showed her the video as well. She was very sympathetic and switched our room, but we definitely could not relax or even go back to sleep after that. We attempted to go to the hot tub where we were cannon balled , splashed, kicked, stepped/jumped on and disregarded by UNRULY, UNSUPERVISED CHILDREN. There are signed clearly posted that they should not be in the hot tub under the age of 16 but they don't abide by that. If it was not for the night maintenance man(🙏🏾)enforcing the adult hour from 9-10 pm we would have had to leave to get away from the blatant disrespectful children and their "aloof" parent(s) and the pool area was trashed with food, empty bottles and debris and food/drinks are not allowed in there. We could not use the gym as it was being used as some sort of Daycare as a number of children definitely under the posted age requirement were in there on their tablets and playing with the equipment...unsupervised, the majority of them had their own key cards. We could not get in the hot tub when it opened the next morning as we were cut off at the door with the children busting past us to get to the hot tub and jump in and out of it while the mother just stood there so we just turned, walked away and immediately checked out after that. Someone will eventually get hurt, whether it be cracking their head running around the pool or an adult finally snapping having to check someone's child. This needs to definitely be addressed by management promptly as we were not the only patrons with this complaint. We requested some sort of compensation for the roaches but the manager was not there and had not reached back out to us since we requested it from the front desk. Firstly I arrived to the property the set up is very nice as far as the lobby goes

Unfortunately none of my rooms where available upon check in at 3pm

but I agreed to give them an hour run next door to Gordon’s food because it was my sons 10th birthday and I didn’t want to ruin his day

But that’s exactly what happened

There was extreme over booking of hotel rooms

I ended up Waiting over 3 hours without any kind of compensation for 2 of my 3 rooms to be ready well after check in which is 3pm rooms weren’t ready until after 6pm yesterday evening

Upon arriving on the second floor for rooms 203 210 and 213 I was greeted with Extremely loud and unruly guest

They where for one all out in the halls running knocking on doors fighting drinking playing music at max volume

It literally kept us up all night (I am also 7 months pregnant)

Very very Rude and unprofessional manager by the name Sam

Sam who was the manager on duty was very dismissive during check in with my concerns upon arrival Got in my brother who is 16 years old face for trying to purchase items from the convenience shop located in the hotel and refused to allow him to purchase anything

Also when coming to check my one of many noise complaints mistook my brother for one of the unruly guest and yelled for him to go in the room once he found out he had the wrong kid no apology was issued what so ever

Anytime myself fiancé or mom made a call or complaint about the unruly amount of traffic in the hall as well as noise the manager sam did nothing more than

proceed to bang on doors even our room doors where most of our kids where sleeping Also we where the ones to call to file a complaint speaking and yelling as if he was talking to children and not grown adults ALSO had to come back up again this time banging on doors yelling telling all guest to stay in there rooms I mean just awful Could not utilize the pool what so ever the entire stay because again the hotel was extremely over booked over crowded Absolutely no kind of rotation being had so every one had a chance in the pool Marijuana smoke in the halls of the hotel along with cigarette smoke Police consistenly being called out to the property very displeased with my stay over all I have video evidence and call...

I stayed here for one night on 5/11/19. Don't bother staying here. If you do, avoid having Noor check you in/out. She doesn't know what she's doing, barley made eye contact, and she was practically whispering. She acknowledged I booked the room online, but kept stating I haven't paid. After asking her three times why she was charging me an additional amount (almost the amount of my stay) and still no explanation, I decided to give her my card so I could finally drop my stuff off in the room and deal with it later with someone else. As soon as I dropped my stuff off in the room, I went back to the front desk and a gentleman assisted me, reassuring me it was the security deposit I would get back once I check out. At check out, it was a different lady, but there was confusion because the gentleman apparently changed my payment type from card to cash and guess who had to take over - NOOR. She fixed my payment type, handed me a receipt, awkward silence, and I was the one who had to ask if I was all set. I kept a close eye on my bank account. The amount was pending until 5/14 and I decided to wait a week to see if it'll be refunded. A week goes by and it's still there so I call the hotel. WHAT KIND OF HOTEL DOESN'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS AND DOESN'T HAVE A VOICEMAIL? I had to call multiple times on different days to finally get a hold of someone. Spoke with the manager and confirmed I'm supposed to get a refund. To this day, I have yet to get a refund. Thank goodness it was only one night or else they would've charged even more. Now I have to try disputing it with my credit card company.

DITTO to other reviews too. TV was out dated, limited channels, and poor reception. The hot tub basically fits four people comfortably and it's a timed switch. Didn't bother with the pool, full of kids being kids. Breakfast is cramped - they had the basics of tea, coffee, apple and orange juice, muffins, bagels, waffles, and seems like they alternate two hot items each day - mine were scrambled eggs and sausage gravy for biscuits. Not impressed, especially witnessing employees be rude to guests.
