I have tried this place on 2 different occasions. The first time, I was VERY happy with my veggie roll. I had also ordered the cucumber salad which was just ok to me. It had crushed peanuts which wasn’t bad but it also lacked moisture so dry cucumber and peanuts was a little strange. In addition to the roll and salad, I had also ordered Spring rolls which were cold and greasy. So my first visit was a 6/10 but the veggie roll was so good I gave it another chance. My second time around, I only ordered the veggie tempura roll which included tempura yams, cucumber and some other veggies. It’s normally topped with avocado but I opted out of that. The sauces are normally a spicy Mayo and sriracha but I requested to have the sriracha left off and eel sauce added instead. They followed my modifications perfectly which was great but after eating most of the roll I found a piece of shrimp! I am full vegetarian and don’t eat any meat at all. I instantly stopped and called the shop (after instantly becoming sick). I spoke with 2 people who refused to do anything for me and could not under that I was severely sick. I was yelled at and made to feel like a liar although I offered to bring the food back to show them. I unfortunately really enjoyed the flavors but after realizing I was eating meat and the menu clearly said my roll was vegetarian friendly, I will not...
Read moreUpdate 2: They followed through on their promise to mail me a gift card, not only for the cost of the 2 rolls I couldn’t eat but the entire meal. I appreciate the follow up and will try again sometime soon.
Update: The restaurant called us after this review to offer mail a gift card to cover the 2 affected rolls and an apology. I forgot to mention before, on the receipt it does show NO SESAME SEEDS for both rolls, so this seems to have been an issue on the kitchen side. I’ve eaten here plenty in the past and especially when dining in the food was always great.
I appreciate them reaching out and will update again if/when the gift card arrives.
Original review: When ordering we specified there was a major seed allergy. The person who answered seemed to have some trouble finding the option to not put any sesame seeds on the rolls for this order but eventually found it. We get home with the order and there are sesame seeds on both rolls. Unfortunately due to a medical condition I can’t eat either of the rolls. I attempted to call twice but got a recorded message that they had a messaging system that had not been set up. Pretty frustrating to pay 30 bucks for a bowl of soup and 2...
Read moreOne of my favorite sushi spots around the Dublin area.
Everything that I have had here is great. Prices tend to be on par with other sushi restaurants in the area but the quality seems to be far superior.
I've had a few of the entree dishes and they've been great, but I tend to stick to the sushi when I visit. We usually order the spinach cheese wonton appetizer in addition to our sushi and it has not disappointed once. Though I have ordered quite a few different sushi rolls here they have all been great. I have narrowed it down to my usual for the most part, but it seems like it's difficult to go wrong with anything on the menu.
Everyone here is friendly enough and the wait times are more than acceptable. They also have a pretty great happy hour if you can make it.
We tend to frequent this place, visiting at least once every other week if not weekly. They have a decent patio in the back, though it is somewhat shared with a the neighboring restaurants, with only a short, metal gate separating the...
