I met up with my husband for dinner (Dublin Location) because we visit there frequently and never have an issue except once there was a waitress who just had a bad attitude. Well I brought my Mom this time because I usually get her take out from there and she loves it. Well tonight I had the worst experience ever. We got that same rude waitress that seems like she has a constant attitude and doesn’t know how to smile. Then we order my mom the same thing she always gets a sirloin cooked medium rare. My husband and I shared the Ribye which was ok. My moms steak came out so rare it could still Mooo. First we couldn’t ever find our waitress or any other waitress around for five minutes and I needed a refill too. So we found a hostess to get her. So we tell her about it and she says I’ll go put it back on the grill. (gross) your putting food she’s taken a bite out of back on the grill). So she did and brought it back out. It was still bright pink/red and bloody. Well the manager came around and was asking how things were and I said her steak is still too rare and she can’t eat it. Well the manager starts getting argumentative and says well then you don’t like medium rare you need to start ordering it medium. By this time I was so shocked by how unprofessional he was showing and I started to argue back. I said are you really going to tell the customer this? I have been a manager for several years and I have never told a customer they were wrong and tried to make them feel stupid. And then he’s like for what restaurant? So he totally missed the point. After all of that they finally took the steak off after I asked. Needless to say they were so unprofessional and even though I loved it there I will NEVER go back to...
Read moreStood in lobby quite a while before we were acknowledged, as no one was at the host/hostess station, and the only nearby employee had her back to those of us waiting in the lobby, having a very animated, apparently personal conversation on the phone. Someone also had sucked on a couple of the complimentary red & white swirl mints they provide, and then had spit them out on the host podium, where they sat like a disgusting tower of mint goo. Appetizing it was not.
After 10 minutes or so, we were seated and greeted quickly by our waiter, Luis, who would prove to be friendly, efficient, and thorough.
The only hiccup in the service was that the entrees were brought out before the salads had appeared. Luis apologized for this and offered to pack up our salads to go, which we declined. Luis also had to replace our table pepper mill, as it was empty. Another management fail.
We both ordered Flo's filet (mignons), which were properly cooked and delicious. Quite salty but that's how we both like our steak. We also got the roasted mushrooms on the side, which are a nice addition to the steak.
The sides and salads were fine, a huge portion of asparagus and nicely buttered mashed potatoes. Their ranch dressing is the homemade variety and is great. And the bread is heavenly! A little crusty and fluffy soft inside, served with real butter. 2 loaves were definitely called for.
There's never room for appeti- zers or desserts, unfortunately, so I'm not able to rate those.
So, to sum up, try to ignore the obviously poor management, as once you're seated, you can expect good wait service. Go for the food, which...
Read moreIn town with a friend from Toronto, Canada and after checking in at our hotel we wanted a steak dinner. I googled local steak places and based on rating and wanting a high rated casual steakhouse we elected on the Longhorn about a mile away.
I have to say, the high ratings are more than deserved, the place was welcoming, staff were friendly and accommodating.
We had a beer at the bar while waiting for a table. The hostess said it would be about 30 minutes, but was actually about 10 minutes.
Based in all the dishes we saw going to tables we had to have the white Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms to start along with the hamburger queso dip with flatbread.
Well, the mushrooms were Amazeballs! Omg, they were fantastic. The queso dip, not so much. In fact it was awful, but my friend enjoyed it.
We both ordered the 12 oz New York Strip Steak rare.
The steak was by far among the top 2-3 steaks I've ever had, perfect cut, great marbling and cooked to perfection with very little seasoning.
Our sever was absolutely awesome! Friendly and attentive without being annoying. She made us feel like we knew her for years and. It just being nice for a good tip. I wish I could remember her name to mention, but I cannot.
If I didn't live 7 hours away I would be back often.
The bill for me with the New York Strip, baked potato and veggies, 1 appetizer and 2 beers was only $39. That's a steal.
Definitely a place to go for great food on a budget.
