We are currently staying here and we're on the bottom floor. There's no phones in the rooms. I was cold when we arrived I called the front office 4 times. The first time the call wouldn't go thru. The other 3 times they hung up on me!!! They have a sheet of paper in the table that says text them that you arrived when you get in so I texted that I was hung up on several times. And after a couple hours someone finally responded to me.. so I asked for a extra blanket. And I was given 2.
They have a phone number to call for emergencies. We had a maintenance emergency the next morning at 5:30 am we tried calling with our cells and we had no cell service. So my husband went to the front office and knocked a couple times it said the front office opened at 9am. and no one was in there. my husband came back and said please try to text them again. I did then after a little while no response so he goes outside again and finds a laundry worker and gets help from them. I finally get a text back around 9am saying there sending someone over which is ridiculous!!!!
The first night we get here I go looking for Ice and I couldn't find it so I go to the front office and she informs me its on the 2nd floor at the opposite end and I said why is it like that? what about your clients that are disabled what are they supposed to do? so she went and got my ice. They really need to have 2 ice machines.
The first time going to use the bathroom I looked up and noticed 2 dead bugs hanging out of the vent and said gross!!! and our room has 2 queens and the one bed is so hard and loud that every time you moved on it it woke the other person up. The amount they are charging to stay here we think is horrible for the problems we have had. it should be $70 a night motel not a hotel and were being charged hotel prices its ridiculous. Instead we are being charged after taxes $248. You don't even get breakfast.
There's no carpet in the room and my husband was walking around barefoot after 2 hours I saw his feet and the bottoms were black!!! and I said gross why are your feet black and he said the floor is dirty. We cleaned off his feet and he walked around again thinking he got most the dirt the first round nope!!! We took pics of his foot the 2nd time around to show how dirty the floor was. And I said so much for the room being clean like the note said it was. That is disgusting. it is ok to use a mop in the room not just sweeping. and the first thing I saw when I walked in the room was something under the 2nd bed if I saw that how could the cleaning lady not see that?
They also had a packet of what to restaurants which needs to be updated as some of them have gone out of business. They had my detailed bill in the packet and the note said leave the packet there and a line to sign but left no pen to sign it. not everyone has pens. And they didn't have a copy of the bill either.
The dog area was a little bit of a walk.Oh did I mention that we couldn't make calls with our cell phones or send texts with our cell phones 95% of the time. we had to go outside so everyone could hear our conversation.
I do not recommend staying at this motel. this was the first time we got up at 5 at left at 6am excited to...
Read moreHotel charged 30% when I made the reservation and then charged the remaining 70% of the fee 4 days prior to the reservation (Wed). I asked them to wait until the Friday before our Sunday reservation to charge me and they agreed and told me they “voided” the charge they made on Wed. The charge never dropped off my account. One day before the reservation (Sat), they charged my card again without my consent. My bank said the transaction was “finalized” and there was no record of any refund or void from the merchant for the charge on Wed. Upon arrival (Sunday), the hotel wanted the full fee – AGAIN, because the charge from Saturday was “pending”! I explained the situation, showed them my mobile bank statement with the full fee pending in my bank account. I called my bank, waited on hold an hour, and had the bank rep explain the situation to the front desk – that the fee was finalized on Sat. and would “hard post” to the merchant’s bank on the next business day (Monday).||||Since the 30% deposit I paid when I made the reservation only covered 70% of the first night’s fee, the front desk made me pay an additional 30% for the first night, even though the entire payment for both nights would post to their account the next day (they said I had an outstanding balance because they refused to understand they never refunded me the money in the first place). So I basically had to over-pay more than the agreed-upon fee for both nights just so they wouldn’t kick us out of our room. It was a shake down. They did not even check their bank account to see if my payment had already posted to their account – they were only looking at their own notes in the computer which were wrong. So they basically required extra money to stay the first night. Now they will have to refund the extra money I paid which will make it unavailable to me for another 5 days until it posts back to my account. ||||We ended up leaving after the first night anyway bc we only got 4 hours of sleep and could not manage another night like that. There were disgusting, large stains on the each of the sheets (thankfully we brought sleeping bags and our own pillows), the beds were so hard and bare to the springs that my back problems were triggered and I was in pain an hour after going to bed. My neck hurt all day the next day. The queen bed was like an old cotton or wool futon after years of compression. The sleeper sofa mattress was 3 inches thick and full of springs. The hotel is VERY noisy – you can hear every movement from every adjoining room – lots of banging around and stomping noises and you can hear everyone talking through the walls. You can literally feel the reverberations from people walking around. The fake wood floors look good but hotels use carpet because it reduces noise. This “Inn” was extremely noisy. You can see the ocean from the 3rd floor window but only if you’re ok leaving the curtain open so everyone walking past your room on the walkway outside can see in your room. If you want natural light you have to leave the curtain open to let everyone see inside your room. The Inn is 3 stories high and we were on the third floor, but somehow we still heard people stomping around on the roof at night. The view to the west and east are...
