Bought 3 items yesterday. There was a younger male working behind the counter with two other females. First, I had a sand dollar that had no price tag so I let the man know it was $0.25. It was in a bin labeled sand dollars $0.25 and was clearly in the right area. As he added my purchases together there was no screen to look at to verify he was ringing everything in correctly. This morning I look at my receipt and he added the item as a starfish priced at $3.99. Obviously he either didn't care, or this is a way to scam tourists out of their money. The store has a very obvious sign, as with the times, to wear a mask while in the store. The same young man that checked me out didn't have a mask on and didn't care when someone mentioned it. We had such an amazing experience here on our trip to Westport and we always try to find gifts and souvenirs with utility value and my son was ecstatic to find an engraved pocket and utility knife with his name on it and took it everywhere with him after we bought it. On our flight back to Texas, the knife was accidentally left in his backpack and confiscated by TSA. He was devastated and as a mom I felt horrible and knew I had to figure out a solution. I called the store and explained the situation and how I’d like to pay for the knife plus any shipping or trip fees. They agreed and said they’d have the owner call me to arrange. The best selection of fair priced saltwater taffy around and a nice big selection of chocolates! You may purchase a single piece or pounds of the candies! They carry many interesting items throughout the large shop. T-shirts, hoodies, toys, and many of the old favorites like magnets, earrings, bottle openers...
