"Whale of an Attitude" from the two young ladies working here who refused to serve us icecream on Tuesday July 20th. My husband and I walked in the door with four young kids more than fifteen minutes before close. The open sign was lit up, the door was propped open and nothing looked closed or covered. However the girl standing behind the counter (who apppeared to be doing nothing) said that she couldn't serve us because she needed to start cleaning up to be closed by 8:00. I pointed out that we still had 15-20 minutes before 8:00 and let her know that we had walked downtown town just to get the kids cones but just said "no, sorry." Another girl came out from the back with an equally arrogant attitude. I'm assuming they were just too busy on their phones to do what they are paid to do (serve customers icecream)...lazy and rude. On the way back to our lodging we called Grandpa and had him run to the store for icecream bars and so the spirits were eventually revived but huge dissapointment from this place and i'm appalled these lazy entitled...
Read moreStopped in to get some ice cream and the owner is very welcoming and friendly. He allowed everyone I was with to try some samples to see what they wanted to get. He was patient while everyone decided. The scoops are generous in size and well worth the money. The ice cream is delicious and so are the homemade cones. Add on the arcade for free play with a purchase of an ice cream and it made for a very fun time for the children. You can tell from how the place is kept up and the attention to each customer that the owner provides that he takes great pride in his business and serving up great food/ice cream to the families and people of his community. Will definitely be coming back when I come out here.Highly recommend visiting his shop while you are in town!! Thank you Jah for the great ice cream and...
Read moreWe passed through Westport on a super rainy Spring Break weekday and hit the jackpot when we walked into Whale of a Cone and were met by Jah. Amazing friendly service. A wide variety of ice cream flavors that look like they are constantly updated. They also carry snacks and some great local beers. We walked in for ice cream and ended up staying a while because they also have about any video game you can imagine ready to play right next to the ice cream counter in a cozy warm space. Jah was right there ready to help our two boys navigate the gaming systems. They also have a ton of board games and arcade games. This place is also dog friendly which we also needed on this super rainy day. This place is a must for kids, serious gamers, or anyone else that just wants to play a game from...
