Every year my Jeep club participates in Operation Shore Patrol. The City of Westport and Chamber of Commerce provides a 50 yard dumpster for us to gather trash collected on the beach. Year after year we have done a great job to fill it the best we can. Then ALL the Jeeps in the event convoy into town parade style. The locals have greeted us with open arms and gratitude...waving in appreciation as a huge thank you to keep the beaches of Westport clean. My club has a wonderful tradition of finishing the parade route. Then being the first in line to enjoy hometown icecream at Surfer Girl Waffle Cones. A little overwhelming at first, but soon to get in the rhythm. This year we were greeted by Tessa, slinging icecream and smiles. She was polite, friendly, informative and seemed to really appreciate our group of 30+ Jeeples. Fresh made Waffle cones cant be passed up. The variety of flavors are always a hit. Popular choices of pralines and cream, mountain wild berry and of course black licorice are fan favorites. The kids love the cotton candy and bubble gum flavors. Not only do they have a doggie water dish out front. They have a pup cup made with vanilla ice cream mixed with dog treats. Fun for the whole family. They also are attached to a fun nostalgic gift shop, where you can lose track going back to our younger years. We look forward to this every single year we come into town. My husband and I are visiting Westport from September 24th to September 27th on Saturday night we decided to go to this ice cream shop to pick up some ice cream I think it was like 6:30 ask her if it was open and she said yes very rudely by the way ordered our ice cream while she continue to tell us what ice creams they do not have which I wasn't really interested in because the ice cream that I wanted she had very rude customer service usually I don't complain but a little thank you or have a nice night would have been nice when she handed the ice creams over all we got was there you go and then she slammed the door and left doesn't seem like this establishment is very eager for business which is very disappointing because the ice cream is very delicious but oh well on to...

This place has the best ice cream I have ever had and they have great customer service. However, they are rarely open. I have brought friends and family many times just to see the lights off and no one there during the business hours listed on their door and also through google. I gave 2 stars because as much as I like this establishment it’s not worth wasting 30 mins to drive from town just to see they are closed which has happened to me a minimum of 4 times. This doesn’t seem like a business that cares all that much about getting business as you can tell by the lack of open hours and lack of cleaning.
