I went in just after opening they had a small variety available. Like when else would a donut shop be on their best game the weekend of course Saturday morning non the less. I know how their fritters are extremely sought after which is why I had made the early trip as so I wouldn’t be disappointed; Unfortunately they only had NASTY day old fritters which appeared to have been partially smashed. So I instead opted to go after another classic American donut favorite the Good Ol fashion Maple Bar; thankfully I didn’t hold my breath as they also didn’t have any ready… BUMMER it’s incredibly deceiving to tell customers show up early for the donut you want as seen in other reviews on this very page.
I then opted for a handful of their fresh donuts. I took a nice bite into my vanilla frosted donut with cereal atop. The frosting kinda ruined the overall appeal of the rest of the donut as it had tasted like they used some Betty Crocker dollar store vanilla frosting and a butter knife to spread it across the donut.
This was my third and last visit to little richards and it was about on par with the previous.

Read moreFirst time customers during our regular trip to Westport. We usually stick to our favorite shops but kids were very excited to go a real donut shop, so we tried it. We didn't see any donuts but during covid I would have thought they possibly were keeping them hidden away from the front. We waited in line behind someone making a large pre-order for the next day, and then tried to order. Instead of informing us they were sold out, the woman at the counter rolled her eyes at me and looked behind her, first at one side then the other in an exaggerated way as if looking for donuts and then stood there and stared at me condescendingly. I replied, "I am sorry, this is our first time here, we don't know how this works." She still said nothing and continued to stare at me. The man baking called to me and said, "If you want donuts, come in the morning", which was helpful information, but didn't erase the sting of being treated so...
Read moreThis used to be a great donut house. But over the last few years it's really gone down hill. Their selection of donuts is seriously lacking. They offer 2 maybe 3 different type of donuts at any time. Sometimes only 1. My last trip there 10 days ago they had primarily maple bars and nothing else asked staff said theyd have bismarks in about half an hour. So I came back an hour later and there were none, but they had put out more maple bars and the same employee said oh yah we made more maple bars and we won't put out any other kind of donuts until we sell all the maple bars. The owner is an unpleasant woman and I wouldn't waste my money there again. Their prices are ridiculous almost 3 bucks for 1 maple bar? Ridiculous especially since it's not that good. I used to love this donut shop! They used to have such a great selection of donuts. Left scratching my head how she thinks offering slim pickings is good business...
