We had an unfortunate incident over the weekend.
Waitstaff kindly informed our group minors are not allowed inside after a child came in to speak with a parent, but said our party could sit outside to which we happily obliged. After being outside for some time, the owner berated us for not knowing the law that the minor was not also not allowed to sit outside and they became irate and hostile when we mentioned our understanding of waitstaff directions. There was no intent to be defiant as the waitstaff in question could see our full party sitting outside and could have informed us of the misunderstanding at any time. Also, there was no signage posted outside otherwise.
I encourage this establishment to ensure all employees are informed and empowered to act and for ownership to be kinder to guests, especially in the face of a misunderstanding. I would also recommend posting “21 & over” signage outside.
As residents we try to patronize local businesses, especially during months with lower tourism. However, we and our guests will no longer be visiting or partaking in community events associated with this business due to how we...

I thought they had a nice selection of wines. Washington and Oregon are well represented along with Napa, South America and France. Someone likes white wine here because their selection is quite interesting if you care to venture.
All glass pours are available in bottle form. In fact, the entire wine selection is liked that. You can therefore sample any bottle they have before diving in.
We really enjoyed the bruschetta. It's a build your own affair with a delicious tomato puree and a large ball of burrata covered with balsamic and olive oil and served with about a dozen baguette rounds of toast. Not traditional but a perfect foil for wine.
Vinho Verde along with their tuna melt was a surprisingly good pairing. The melt comes on the open face sandwiches. Local tuna is seasoned and tops a slice of French bread which is then covered with mozzarella. It spends time under the broiler to bubbly, caramelized goodness. Add kettle chips on the side.
The place was full of friendly locals on a...
Read moreStopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a wine tasting. Town was very busy, no other customers at this establishment. Person working was very uninterested in us arriving. We had some questions about the wines, where they were from, he threw out some answers that we found out later to be incorrect. There was a sign on the counter that advertised an appetizer and he said he "ran out yesterday". Many things on menu but he only offered a couple of items to eat. We ordered a charcuterie plate, it was ok. Wine was nothing special, no notes and he didn't give us any info on what we were drinking except the names. This was not a good experience and could have been so much better with some thoughtful planning and maybe some enthusiasm....
