Having been here for 60 summer days, I can attest to about everything about this park. First, there are NO DRUGS! Joe, the owner, if drugs are suspected, will not only run the people out of the park, but will try to run them out of town. He will notify all other parks not to accept them. Do you really think a retired Command Sergeant Major would allow drugs on his property?||||1. All within walking distance. One short block to marina, shopping and restaurants. ☆☆☆☆☆||2. Joe will do almost anything in order to make you happy (loan cable TV converters, etc). ☆☆☆☆☆||3. Laundry torn up by transiets but workable. ☆☆||4. Showers 25 cents per 3 minutes. ☆☆||5. Pull thrus for long rigs (like mine). ☆☆☆☆||6. 50 AMP: none but I have not needed to use either of my air conditioners once. 30 AMP has been fine, including running my RV clothes dryer. ☆☆☆☆||7. Dump: Most spots have hookups. Dump station available for those that do not. ☆☆☆☆||8. Pretty/Paved RV Park: NOT but it still has LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Next to ocean, main drag, restaurants, fishing, paved hiking trail along ocean, etc. All just a block or...
Read moreThis place provided an alternative to overpriced hotels. I needed a location close to the pier(s), that was accessible by public transportation (bus), for someone with no vehicle or bicycle. Totem delivered! Joe was accommodating to my specific needs (tent camping with no vehicle, and last-minute booking), and was extremely helpful and welcoming. Location close to the water is excellent for someone with limited transportation options, and for those keen on early morning activities (charter fishing and birding, for instance). The place is decently quiet for being in town. Be aware that several bars are located within walking distance, so some visitors return late, though this was never a problem that disturbed me. Wifi and hot showers work. Note that in the summer this place is packed; if you want a private camp, this may not be the place for you. Though it was fully booked while I was there, I had a good stay, and my neighbors were...
Read moreThis is the ideal rv park for an almost ocean-front stay! I can hear the ocean through my window at night when it’s quiet in town. Plus, pets are welcome, there are laundry facilities, showers, and bathrooms all on site. It is safe, clean, and welcoming. Joe and his wife Vickie are great hosts! There is a trail behind the park that’s perfect for dog-walking as well. They are very accommodating, whether you’re looking for fhu, partial hookup, or dry camping/rv’ing. The fellow guests have all been friendly and respectful, so if you’re looking for trouble don’t bother because Joe won’t have it. It’s well-run and Joe and/or his assistant are always reachable. The prices are very reasonable too. I highly ...
