I was only here for couple of hours and my experience was ruined. All the comments about this place are true. I will NEVER come back to this place again. Since the minute we were by the pool, it was non stop looking and checking by the infamous Jim. I don't like to be baby sat. We asked to use the grill and even that was process. When my mother was don't cooking, she shut of the grill and even that was a problem, like how did we know to turn off the gas tank. When we went to check in for our room, we let them know it was going to be 5 of us (2 of which were kids). He went on to say everything was booked ( which the place inreality was empty). Said if we bring the 5th person in we were all getting kicked out. With out me even asking he went on to say we weren't going to get out $300 deposit. We walked over to 2 motels and they all have us the same reaction "o we know how he is 😒". We ended up staying at the Attachè paying $500 for the 3 nights memorial day weekend. We didn't even care that we lost the deposit, we wanted to stay somewhere comfortable. We are the ones paying him, Jim isn't doing me no favor. Busineses don't understand that. To be staright forward people who are Hispanic or black (which we have both in the family) just shouldn't come here. You will be treated a certain type a way. Talked to nasty and acting like we were begging. I told him to shove his $300 far up. I don't need this, I work to hard. Just wanted to get away for the weekend. Read the comments about him and didn't know he was exactly how they described him. The Attachè on the other hand was so welcoming from the minute we walked in. Staff is extremely friendly, especially the owner. She was so sweet, made sure everything was ok. We explained to her what happened to us and she just know how this place is. The room originally cost $678 and we got it for $500. Such a life saver. If I can give this place a .01 I would. It's not about how nice a place looks, I rather stay in a dump as long as I'm being treated with kindly. Like I mentioned, I'm paying you, your...
Read moreHad a week out there for the holiday weekend, place was very clean with pretty up to date eltectronics and in a prime location which was nice. The downsides were that the rooms were pretty small and cramped and sort of pricy. All of this aside It i would have still given a 4 or 5 star review, but it is receiving a 1 star as the owner/hotel operator non stop harasses the customers staying there and is always yelling and angry. On the first interaction on hour 2 of being there on the first day he threatened to kick us out because we had another person in our room from the 3rd floor. Apparently you can't move a lawn chair or any seating in case you have 3-4 people in a conversation and don't want to yell, your kids can't speed walk or run by accident without being yelled at with full hostility. You can't have a glass bottle of any kind outside the room let alone a beer or else...you will be yelled at. You can't smoke anywhere unless it's directly next to your door or else...you get yelled at. You can't congregate at all with your family and friends if it disassociates the perfect image he attempts to create or he will yell. If your sister comes by the room dropping off food while you are on the board walk he will yell at her for trespassing even with a key card ...by the way he barged in the door without notice and got right in her face , she was shaking when she found us later. Beautiful place in a beautiful location, but the owner and operations aspect is horrifying and literally ruined our experience. Several family left very early because of that 75% and 25% reason was...
Read morePark Lane Resort is truly a gem. The entire property is clean, well kept, and clearly cared for with pride. The heated pool is incredible, and the location couldn’t be better, close to restaurants, the beach, and the boardwalk. I especially love that it’s within walking distance to the boardwalk yet far enough away to avoid the crowds, making it the perfect balance of convenience and relaxation. What makes Park Lane stand out is the love and attention the owners put into it year after year. Each season there’s always something new that makes the resort look and feel even better, this year it was beautiful palm trees and additional pool umbrellas. It’s easy to see that this is a true family establishment, and that makes every stay even more special. Over time, we’ve come to recognize and be recognized by other returning families, which adds such a warm, welcoming feeling. On a personal note, I hold a very special place in my heart for Jim and the wonderful staff. After my father passed away, Jim went above and beyond to help make accommodations for my sister and my disabled mother to join us on our vacation. Somehow, he was able to arrange a first-floor room for them, which allowed us all to be together during one of the hardest times in our lives. That level of care and compassion is something I will never forget, and it speaks volumes about the heart behind Park Lane.
We book early every year because we know how much we love it here. Park Lane isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place filled with memories, kindness, and community. I can’t...
