My family and I went this past weekend on Thursday before we attended the Barefoot Country Music Fest. It looked very appealing especially after reading the reviews, I told my wife, “screw i, let’s go here!” Greeted by what seemed to be a manager, possibly owner, idk. Sat outside because it was nice out. Asked the young lady for a drink menu, to which I got a response of “we’re BYOB.” 👀 Okay, that woulda been cool to know BEFORE we were sat in some way, shape, or form. Anyways. No big deal. We order food. It comes out pretty quickly. Our sever was pretty attentive to our requests. My biggest issue was that this “Mexican” food was horrendous. I have honestly never had such bad Mexican food in my life. This is not an exaggeration. Living in So Cal and Texas and now, Maryland only to visit Jersey, this was a disgrace to any type of Mexican food. I hate to put it this way, but Taco Bell is more authentic and tastier than Bandana’s food. And not only the food being terrible and unable to finish because it was lacking in every department, but what Mexican restaurant charges for chips and salsa and puts it on the menu as an appetizer?! Not only that, but it’s $6! Everyone we ran into said we shoulda went to Ravioli House and even some of our friends who had visited Jersey. Deff shoulda took their advice. And even the locals who serve/bartend, we mentioned not to come here if they hadn’t already been. I could not recommend this place to a single person I know. Even my 5 and 8 yr olds had complaints about the food. The only positive that came out of this place was we didn’t get sick like some of the other folks that left reviews, thank god.
Unfortunately, I did not...
Read moreBandanas Mexican Grille, a restaurant that aims to provide a satisfying dining experience, unfortunately falls flat in delivering flavorful dishes. Although the service was decent and prompt, the food itself was bland and lacked the expected taste.
Furthermore, the flavors of the dishes at Bandanas Mexican Grille were underwhelming. The burrito, in particular, was a letdown, with a filling that seemed to be seasoned with an ordinary grocery store taco mix. It lacked the vibrant and nuanced flavors that make Mexican cuisine so appealing and failed to excite the taste buds.
To compound the disappointment, the pricing at Bandanas Mexican Grille was unreasonably high. One would assume that such prices would be justified by exceptional quality and unique offerings, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Charging customers for fountain soda refills, which is usually a customary courtesy at most establishments, felt like an unnecessary attempt to maximize profits at the expense of customer satisfaction. This practice only added to the overall dissatisfaction and left a negative impression.
While the service deserves some praise, it is regrettable that the food quality did not match its efficiency. Fast service alone cannot compensate for lackluster flavors. Customers seek a harmonious blend of quality and efficiency, and Bandanas Mexican Grille fell short in achieving that balance.
In conclusion, Bandanas Mexican Grille is not a standout Mexican dining experience. To satisfy your craving for Mexican cuisine, it would be advisable to explore other options in the area that offer a more satisfying and...
Read moreWe visited Wildwood for our first family vacation with our 10 month old. A few people recommended this restaurant. We were a little hesitant to go with our son, but we decided to give it a try. We are SO happy we did. It was actually the best meal of our entire vacation. If we would’ve eaten there our first night, we probably would’ve eaten there every night lol!!
The service was impeccable from beginning to end. Our waiter, Gabriel, was amazing. All of his recommendations were perfect for us! We have to say though that all of the staff were just as amazing. The staff sat us in the outdoor seating area since we had a stroller. It was actually perfect. They were aware that it might rain so they kept checking on us to make sure we were comfortable in our outdoor seating. When it actually did start to rain, they made sure the table and our area was covered so our son wouldn’t get wet! Talk about great service!!
Now for the food…we loveeee Mexican food and I hate to admit that we can be a bit critical when we try new restaurants. The food exceeded our expectations!! The tacos were so fresh and delicious! A couple sitting next to recommended the pineapple sauce. It is something we never would’ve tried if it wasn’t recommended, but it was delicious! My husband actually talked about it the next day. We should’ve bought a bottle of it! Oh, we can’t forget the brownie sundae dessert! Another thing we talked about the next day!!
Can you tell we loved our visit here and highly recommend this restaurant?!! Thanks for a great meal and service! We...
