This place is like out of a creepy movie. Owner is very scary, always lurking around corners and watching everyone, very uncomfortable. He was very pushy and aggressive, We booked a last minute weekend trip, the place is very dated, AC unit in bedroom only, none in the rest of efficiency so we had to keep the bedroom door opened and the ac on blast which didnât do much, the shower had terrible water pressure, and no vent when taking a shower, and room smelled very musty. The blinds were broken in bedroom when we arrived , so we reported that to front desk which we had to look up the number and call because there wasnât a phone in room. A woman came up and was cutting long blinds in half and hanging them in bedroom which didnât fit. It was quiet but I also felt like we werenât allowed to speak outside or even relax. The motel sends lengthy text messages to remind of the ârulesâ. My sister and niece met us on the beach because they stay in Cape May, they came back with us to use the bathroom and rinse off, my niece went in the pool with my daughter before getting changed to leave with my sister, within minutes an employee came out and the owner to ask names and reminded us of our reservation, we are adults with a baby, very quiet, we were extremely offended and scared by the owner. The owner also watched my sister move her car from the free parking lot to the meter in front of the sea scape and told her she can move to free parking , she explained she just put 30 minutes of time in the meter as they were leaving after changing from the beach. We will never go back to that place. We go to the Jersey shore each summer and never have had an experience such as this in 30 years. If I could give this a...
Read moreOur stay at the Seascape Inn in Wildwood Crest, NJ was overshadowed by an unpleasant encounters with the owner, Chris. From the start, he was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. On one occasion, Chris banged on our door, demanding a cash security deposit, despite the fact that I had already paid for the room in full and left a personal check for the deposit. He aggressively insisted that I had cash in the room and needed to give it to him immediately. His behavior escalated to the point of threatening to call the police on me if I did not give him the 100 CASH deposit. This uncalled-for hostility created an uncomfortable and stressful environment, particularly when he yelled at my son and wrongfully assumed he wasn't staying with us. Also, I found it uncomprehensible that upon early checkin I could not use a bathroom at the motel, but was told to use the PUBLIC bathrooms across the street by the basketball courts.
In contrast, Cathy at the front desk was the complete opposite. She was patient, professional, and incredibly helpful. Throughout our 3 night stay, she remained professional and even apologetic about the issues caused by Chris.
While the location of the Seascape Inn is great, the experience with Chris left a negative impression that overshadowed the stay. I sincerely hope that the hotel addresses these concerns and that Chris reevaluates his approach, as I genuinely wish the Seascape Inn success in the future. Cathyâs professionalism is a valuable asset to the business, and with improvements, this hotel could be a much better experience for...
Read moreUpon check in we discovered the carpet In our room was soaking wet. The air conditioner had leaked all over the rug. Since the hotel had no vacancy we couldnât change rooms. The hotel management really did nothing to help us. They had no shop vac to dry it up didnât have a fan to put on it. They really didnât even seem to care. All they did was throw a towel over it!!! It was soaking wet even through the towels! Yuk! We were not offered a change of room until 48 hrs later only after I asked for compensation! I asked for a credit or some sort of refund 5% offâŚ..anything?!?! We were offered nothing $$$âŚno apology!!! The guy basically told us that we should stay in a five-star hotel next time. I am in the service industry and I understand the value of a repeat customer and a happy customer!!! Iâve been coming to Wildwood for 40+ years. Iâve stayed at many many hotels and Iâve never experienced anything so rude like this. We were left to walk over wet towels all weekend with no compensation or even an apology. I will never stay at this property again!!! I work hard for my money and have to make sacrifices to go on vacation and it was a lot of money for me to stay there and he basically insulted us and told us to go stay at 5 star hotelâŚ.but because that was a 3 star hotel we shouldâve been accepting that the carpet was soaking wet!!! Seriously he said that!! Even worse about this place they ask for $100 cash deposit and tell you youâre not allowed to get any sand in the room BUT it was OK for me to have wet carpet all weekend!!! Whatever!!!!!...
