I don’t usually write reviews but after staying here I knew I had to warn other people about this hotel. I would give this 0 stars if this was an option, and can honestly say I’ve never stayed in a worse place.||CHECK IN|The hotel was quite difficult to find, we had to go into another hotel and ask for help. When we finally arrived, the man behind the check-in desk didn’t acknowledge us at all, and carried on talking to, what seemed to be, his two friends sat on the couch next to him. After a few minutes he spoke to us but was un-welcoming with very limited English. He then left, and another person started checking us in but seemed extremely inexperienced - like he didn’t even work there. He seemed extremely confused when we were saying we had a booking for two nights, it was an extremely poor service. It took a long time but finally we were shown to our room, which was on the fourth floor - no lift! They did help with our bags which was the only positive.||ROOM|Our room was not what we were expecting. Firstly it was tiny - barely enough room for us to move around and lay our bags down at the same time. The walls and floor were filthy with stains all over, As was the chair.|The bedding didn’t look clean and there were hairs in it when I pulled back the cover - I had to sleep on top of the cover as it looked that bad, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable so I hardly slept anyway.|The description I was given was that there would be a minibar - there was indeed a fridge but absolutely nothing inside, it wasn’t even on.|The bathroom was horrific, the light didn’t work so had to use it in the dark, there was no separate shower area, just a shower head between the sink and toilet, and the shower dripped loudly all night, so the floor was completely wet in the morning.||As soon as we arrived at the hotel I was straight on the internet booking another hotel for the following night, despite having already paid for this hotel it was worth it to not endure another night.||Overall this was an appalling experience and I urge anyone to think twice...
Read morewas spent there one night in the Room on first floor. totally agree with previous commentator - bed is super hard, like laying on wood, blanket is itchy, picture of Room doesn't give the right impression,Room is much smaller and narrow, window closed by wind shield,so you actually do not have it, smelly, plus constant noice of running water from watertank, toilet is tiny, you are actually showering almost in the lobby or seating on toilet seat. also I was suprised reading the comments about nice owner. he was smiley ,yes, but he didn't hesitate to kick us out when we were waiting bus to sapa. although picking up should have been from hotel. his comment was:you did not buy tickets from my agency,so go to another address and he even did not show direction ,just throw us address . btw we did not buy tickets from him cause it was more expensive. if you want buy tour -go next door, number 43 -great and cheap!sweet lady manager. the||only good thing about hotel -nice location. near cathedral. also in the Morning they have free...
Read moreIt’s cheap, the location is good because it’s in the city centre, which means you can get anywhere easily. However the internet is too weak, you are better off getting a SIM card. (The best SIM card is viettel). The staff is very kind and lenient. I booked for extra days and then I told them if I can have my money back because I’m leaving earlier than I expected and they gave me my money back. The toilet is quite small and sitting on the toiletry can be uncomfortable. But if you are on a budget this is the hotel for you. Plus keeping in mind, if you are coming to visit Hanoi you will probably spend most your days outside and exploring and you will need a place where you can just sleep. The bed was big and comfortable. The room also had a fridge...
