Khách Sạn Thủ Đô ( Formerly Hanoi Impressive Hotel ) — Hotel in Hà Nội

The staff were awesome! We were greeted and helped with the luggage as soon as the cab stopped in front of the hotel; no need to go inside and ask for help. Mr. Khai the receptionist quickly supported us with our excessive amount of luggage because of traveling with children, which other hotels we stayed gave out some kind of attitude about that. He then helped with the early checkin and with the luggage to the elevator (they have elevator!). Room was basic, clean and spacious, was quite quiet once we got inside even though it’s located in a crowded neighborhood and a popular area. The cleaning ladies were very welcoming at the sight of kids despite the mess my infant created when we checked out late. And yes, the late checkout was also a great experience too. Mr. Tu the receptionist of that date explained calmly to me about the payment that we didn’t pay when we booked, then assisted with the late checkout, and helped bringing the luggage when the cab arrived. The cleaning and receptionist ladies played with our kids while we were in the lobby. Just how helpful and welcoming the staff could be! Was having a superb experience, and I have been staying in multiple hotels around Hanoi, trust me fake reviews and unreal photos of property as well as stingy greedy attitude are very common. Oh and did I mention the prime location? Attractions are within walking distance. Food (great Bun Dau Mam Tom shop next door and Banh Mi Mama just down the road) and drink (craft beer and egg coffee are in the same short street) are within foot reach. One plus, the cab can actually reach the hotel door though you will have to be quick with hopping in and out. We will look no further and will definitely be back here every time we come to Hanoi. We have bad experience with previous properties in the area, got tricked by the bought reviews and learned quickly that we needed to compare the booking apps ratings with Google Maps one. We stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was perfect. The location is less than a 1 minute walk to St Joseph's Cathedral which is a lovely spot and there are so many restaurants and cafes near here.

Our Double Room was super clean and comfortable with a TV with YouTube and a nice bathroom.

Shout out to Tu Vu who was the nicest hotel staff we have had on our trip around Asia. As soon as we checked in he was always smiling and always so happy to help and give us advice on where to go. Not just in Hanoi but also in CatBa and Ninh Binh😄 Tu Vu also booked us a bus to CatBa for cheaper than I could find on 12Go. He always remembered my name and waved us off when we left. Thank you Tu Vu!

We stayed here for 5 nights and was very happy with our time here, Firstly the owner Mr Tu is very friendly and welcoming he arranged for me and my partner to be picked up at the airport, my girlfriends birthday was when we stayed here and the staff helped me out massively by getting some cake, balloons and flowers, the rooms were really good and spacious the TVs are smart so you can watch Netflix which is an added bonus, and the price is very reasonable for what you get especially in the centre of Hanoi would 100 percent...
