Read moreAnother marvelous dinner at Ding Dong restaurant. The chef is quite talented. We had reserved a table by the window with beautiful view of the old church and the city. We did East Meets West this evening. Duck entree with scallop crème soup made with pumpkin. Then Vietnamese Cha Gio (fried spring rolls) my goodness. It’s so crispy and light weight. I have to say the best I have had for spring rolls. Then the Cha Ca for entree. I have to say the chef is very creative. He had fillings of pork and other ingredients then using the fish as a roll. Excellent idea! Service is of course as best as yesterday’s dinner with the supervision of Hannah the manager. She shared with us their vision of excellent food and service to everyone. We met the chef when we first got there this evening. We did tell him we came back instead of going elsewhere because of him and his food, his talent and of course the service. Quoc, the young waiter was as attentive as our first night. We wish we had more time in Hanoi to try all their menu. Well it’s something to look forward to next trip since the hotel Grand Du Lac is so nice. Overall we would give this place a 10 if we could. Besides the great food and excellent service, the place is very beautiful with marble table and classy settings and surrounded by beautiful view. To the GM Jack, keep up the great work you are doing. You certainly have no where to go but up! Congratulations to a wonderful establishment. We look forward to see you again next year! From two very satisfied customers who have received nothing but impeccable service and...
