My wife and I had a truly wonderful dinner at Viet Kitchen Restaurant on the evening of August 7th, 2025. We were fortunate to be seated by the window, where we enjoyed a stunning view of Hoan Kiem Lake as we dined. The serene atmosphere added a magical touch to our experience. We ordered the chicken and crab soup, grilled fish, and chicken noodles. Each dish was bursting with flavor—the taste was simply unmatched. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. One lovely waitress kindly offered to take photos for us, and a friendly waiter showed us how to roll the grilled fish using fresh vegetables and rice paper. Their warm smiles and thoughtful gestures made us feel right at home. This restaurant is the hidden gem of Hanoi, we had a perfect dining experience! The food was outstanding and by far the best me and my friends had during our stay in Hanoi. All the ingredients were very fresh and tasty, our meals were delicious and with very authentic flavours of the Vietnamese cuisine.

The staff provided us with exceptional service, our waiter Howard was very friendly and attentive - we had great and insightful conversations with him about Hanoi & Vietnam. Howard also helped us a lot with the selection of food and taught us ways of eating with chopsticks. All of this was complemented by the stunning views of the Hanoi Old Quarter and the lake. The restaurant is at a central location and so was perfectly accesible.
