Lotusama Hanoi Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

My husband and I arrived at the Lotusama Hotel the day before Christmas and we were greeted by the incredibly friendly staff. They immediately began giving us recommendations, assisting us with getting SIM cards, and helping us to exchange our money.

The staff showed us to our room before the standard check-in time, and we were surprised by how clean and nice the room was (especially for the price). We had a lovely balcony overlooking the street which we used a lot throughout our trip. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size, and the room was cleaned daily.

The room was great, but what really stands out about this hotel is the incredibly generous staff! On Christmas Day, they kindly left some sweet treats and a Christmas card for us. The next day was my birthday, and they instantly remembered when they saw me in the morning. Later on, the staff brought a whole cake up to my room and sang happy birthday to me. It was a lovely surprise! On the day of our check-out, they were very accommodating and repeatedly told us to take our time. They let us check-out at 12:30 and stored our luggage in the lobby.

Finally, we accidentally left one of our AirPods in the taxi that the hotel arranged to take us to the airport, and the hotel immediately helped contact the driver. Miraculously the driver returned the AirPods to us right before we boarded our flight. We were so grateful that the manager Mr. Duong Thanh Thuc was so helpful in assisting us with this.

Altogether, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Thank you for all of your kindness,...

Do not book here if you are a light sleeper or claustrophobic.

Other than location and the low price I would not recommend this place.

If you need a place to sleep only this is adequate although not very quiet.

Be aware the rooms on the first floor have a window that looks out at a wall- zero natural light. You are steps away from reception and hear everything.

I had some laundry done at a local service and used the bag that the “slippers” were in to put my wet shoes in. When i gave my laundry to the front desk they said something about the “slipper bags” needing to be reused (gross - my wet shoes were in there) and said they’d put my shoes in another bag so they could reuse the slipper bag. I didn’t think anymore of it.

When i went to check out with a car waiting for me the front desk was insistent i return the “slipper” bag. We are talking about a disposable fiber bag here … i did not take the slippers (which are reused flip flops) …. they kept insisting i replace the bag. I told them i didn’t have the bag but would pay whatever they wanted for this “reusable” bag. They eventually just let me leave but it felt beyond ridiculous to make such a big deal about this - especially as they had “recovered” this bag earlier.

All in all there are many boutique hotels in hanoi and we booked somewhere else for our return to Hanoi from Halong Bay. The low cost was not worth it in...

The common areas, from the lobby to the elevators, sparkled with cleanliness, and the landscaping outside was pristine, creating a welcoming atmosphere. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick to assist with any request, whether it was extra towels or local dining recommendations. The front desk team greeted me with genuine warmth, and housekeeping went above and beyond to ensure comfort. Even the maintenance crew was prompt and discreet, keeping everything in top shape without disrupting guests. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied, adding to the overall delightful stay. This hotel clearly prioritizes guest satisfaction, and it shows in every aspect. I felt pampered and relaxed throughout my visit, and I’m already looking forward to my next stay.
