MẸT Vietnamese restaurant & Vegetarian Food Met 8 — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Absolutely wonderful!

While I was buying souvenirs in the store next door, my family was drawn to this restaurant because we noticed many tourists were eating inside; we made sure to come back the following night.

And oh we were not disappointed in the slightest! The service was amazing - special shoutout to Sullivan, who spoke perfect English (the best I’ve seen among locals in Hanoi) and was extremely friendly, patiently introducing the dishes and served us delightfully. I enjoyed their hospitality thoroughly!

The dishes were reasonably priced and the food portions were not too big, so we could try a variety of dishes as below:

My family and I decided to dine at MET 8 in Hanoi, and I cannot express enough how exceptional the service was. Unfortunately, during our visit, my father had a medical seizure, but the staff responded immediately and with such care, calling an ambulance without hesitation. The restaurant manager even came to the hospital to check on my father, and the wait staff continued to reach out to my husband to see how we were doing. It truly meant a lot during such a stressful time.

Although we only managed to enjoy a small portion of our meal before the medical emergency, the food we did taste was absolutely delicious — some of the best we've had in Vietnam. The flavors were incredible, and it’s a shame we didn’t get to savor more.

We originally went to a different restaurant in this chain but it was full. We were told that they had organised a table for us at this restaurant so we went here. When we got there they did not have a table ready and we had to wait another 5 mins.

My boyfriend received and ate his entire meal before I even received mine. I was given the wrong meal twice and when my actual food arrived it was cold. I told the staff this and they heated the meal up in the microwave instead of bringing me a new dish. It tasted like a microwave meal, the chicken was stringy and the nuts and veg had gone soft.

The only positive thing about the experience was that our waiter Vu was very helpful even under what seemed like stressful circumstances. He seemed to be looking after a whole floor of the restaurant by himself and even took the time to show my boyfriend how to assemble his meal even with the restaurant...
