I read quite a few bad reviews before staying here so was quite sceptical about what to expect.
I stayed here with my sister in the Premier Balcony room for three nights. This hotel is located down a small side alley in a great location. There is a Circle K just around the corner and lots of very good local restaurants.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They allowed us to check in early and also gave us an hour leeway to check out at 1pm instead of the usual 12pm.
The room was a great size, light and spacious with a small balcony overlooking the rooftops. The bed was gigantic with huge luxurious pillows. The bathroom came fully equipped with shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb, razor, etc.
The towels were changed daily and there was an option to request the bedding to be changed.
Tea and coffee making facilities were provided alongside two bottles of water per day. Milk, ice and other small items were available at request, free of charge.
The buffet breakfast was simple but good. There were options for eggs (any style) French toast, pancakes, and pho. Alongside this there was help yourself cereal, tea & coffee, fruits, pastries, bread, yoghurt, and salad. The server allowed us to order multiple items off the breakfast menu.
The thing that really stood out to me was the incredible service the staff gave. They recommended restaurants, looked up where the nearest MB bank ATM was for me, and when on the last day, an hour before we were due to leave for the airport, I had lost my reusable water bottle, the receptionist called round every place I’d been that day and asked them if they had it. Eventually on the fifth phone call a restaurant confirmed they had found my bottle. Our airport transfer driver swiftly hopped onto a motorbike to go and collect the bottle, brought it back and then took us to the airport. I was so impressed at how much effort they put in to such a small task.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again whenever I’m in...
Read moreSometimes online reviews can mislead you, as they always depend on what one is used to ... this is the case of the Noble & Swan Boutique Hotel, top rated on the Internet but actually different in the reality.
The hotel, located in a small, narrow and lateral street in Hanoi Old Quarter, is hosted in an old building, where natural light struggle to come in.
Rooms are basic, not properly cleaned (or, to be "politically correct", cleaned in a different way) and in need of some sort of maintenance. We saw them all as, in fact, we booked a Superior, on checking-in got a Deluxe (which seemed worse than the Superior, by the way) and finally paid an upgrade to Executive (ATTENTION: most online pics refer to this kind of accommodation)
Bathroom is small, towels are of poor quality and, above all, you cannot flush paper toilet but rather have to throw it into a bin ! 😱
Simple breakfast (nothing special and surely not delicious as I read around).
At the end, despite staying in the best room possible and despite the help of the staff (thank you very much, you are the best asset of the property), we felt very uncomfortable. So we decided to stay only 1 night instead of the 3 originally planned.
Price for the transfer from (25$)/to (20$) the airport is high and service not adequate. Our driver arrived late and the car was dirty.
Conclusion: Noble & Swan is everything but a proper boutique hotel (this word is widely abused in Hanoi). It is more a simple and decent hotel (probably better than many others in the same area and probably with a good value for money) but if you are looking for Comfort it is better that you make a...
Read more5* SERVICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OLD QUARTER OF HANOI:
I recently come back from a three and a half weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia with my sister. In Hanoi we spent 4 nights at the Noble Boutique Hotel. I have to say the this hotel as well as all the staff there were the best of our holidays. Due to my job in the travel industry I had inspected over 200 hotels in the last three years from 3 -5 stars as well as boutique hotels, and I must say the the Noble hotels is a great hotel for its category (3.5 boutique property). The rooms are clean and have a fresh feeling, the buffet breakfast is excellent with a great variety of food and good quality. The hotel has a great location in the center of the old quarter of Hanoi, so restaurants, shops, night market are all nearby. And finally I would like to specially make a comment on the great service they offer, 5* service from everybody in the hotel!!!. All the receptiones spoke great english, something we NOT always encounter in other hotels in Vietnam and Cambodia, even of higher standards I strongly suggest that you are after a 3.5* property with 5* service and good value for money then to stay at the Noble Hotel in Hanoi, you will not be...
