Check in- Was friendly and quick. We were served papaya juice during check in. The bell man carried all our baggage up to the room.
I have to mentioned that the staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone greeted us with a greeting and smile. Dung, the front desk receptionist, remembered our names by the first day.
There is an infinity pool, and a restaurant and bar that we did not try.
Room- We got a suite, so the room was spacious, and we had a balcony overlooking the river.
We had a double bed which to us was very comfy, and it had a lot of very big plushy pillows. The down comforter provided enough warmth.
The room had a safe, and a small fridge that was stocked with items. There were 2 bathrobes, slippers, and umbrellas.
We felt the air conditioner was a little underwhelming. It kept the room cool, but not cold. At least it did its job quietly.
Internet- Internet was fast and dependable.
Bathroom - The bathroom is pretty good size with a good size rain shower which provided a strong, consistent flow with plenty of hot water. Basic necessities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel were on hand. The toilet flushed strongly. For all the wives of there, there is a hair dryer. We had no problem with using the water for mouth rinsing, and such.
Location - We like the location. We had a view of the river, and it's tranquil. It's a 10 min walk to the market. The hotel will let you borrow bicycles...
Read moreThis is a newly opened hotel (I believe January 2019)! I was impressed from the moment I stepped out of the car. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Check-in was easy and my room was LOVELY! I chose a Junior Suite, Balcony, River View and it was just what I needed. My Vietnam trip got off to a terrible start when my purse, phone and camera was stolen in Ho Chi Minh City. I was really down about this trip after being robbed, so I needed a mood booster. This room was modern and got great natural light during the day. I instantly felt better after I got settled. I liked it so much my 3 night planned stay in Hoi An turned in to 5 nights because I needed to have a good environment a little while longer before moving to the next unknown. The entire staff had such positive energy and it was wonderful to be greeted by friendly faces for those days I was there. There were 3 things that I had to complain about. First they don’t give you an extra key card to keep the AC on, so the room always needed to cool when I returned. Second, they don’t have irons in the hotel so you have to pay for them to press your clothes or go wrinkled. If you need laundry service Ms. HOA laundry next door offers a great service at a fraction of the cost. Third I didn’t like the 3% fee for paying with a credit card. All in all I had...
Read moreThe Bad-
Managers need to spot check rooms more frequently.
Room 203 and possibly other rooms; door to balcony, on the wall bottom has mould, this needs to be cleaned and repaired as it has passed mould onto the curtain which need to be washed or replaced.
Hot water does not get hot and runs out after one shower, the rest of the family is left to cold water showers.
No shave kit in bathroom.
Television is dated and does not connect to wifi and it very difficult to use.
Too many patchy repair paint work on walls everywhere that does not match colour can be seen!
The corridor from the restaurant to the kitchen. The area needs to be tidied up or covered. The walls look very dirty and neglected. It lets the rest of the hotel down, as the rest looks so new.
The concierge need to be provided with uniform headwear, Their personal different colored hat looks very unprofessional.
The pool light is switched off at night. It needs to be left on not only for safety reasons ,but as patrons we pay for the view and to enjoy the pool surroundings at all hours!
THE GOOD-
Great team of staff all round. Concierge, reception, cleaners. Exceptional!
