We stayed for five nights with our family at this lovely homestay, which is within comfortable walking distance of the old town yet tucked away in a tranquil neighborhood on the quieter Cám Nam Island. The location is perfect for travelers wanting to explore the vibrant bustle of Hoi An while having a peaceful retreat to unwind in the evening.

The property itself is unique—a tastefully renovated building surrounding an atrium with an amazing collection of bonsai trees cultivated by the owner, as well as a swimming pool. The breakfast area is set under a roof with a beautiful view of the bonsai garden. The photos in their profile are accurate.

The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and serviced daily. We stayed in a spacious family room with three wide beds, two small balconies offering lovely views of the atrium, an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe, a fridge, and a kettle.

The owners and staff were exceptional—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring. Their incredible service stood out during a moment when we needed extra support due to a minor health issue with our daughter. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, providing assistance and flexibility that really made a difference in helping us get back on track quickly.

Breakfasts were made to order from a fixed menu, served promptly, and consistently fresh and delicious. The homestay also offers convenient amenities, including laundry service, bicycle rentals, and assistance with arranging tours.

We would highly recommend Bonsai Homestay to any travelers seeking a convenient location for exploring Hoi An and a quiet, relaxing place to return to...

We loved our stay at the bonsai villa. Autumn and Duc did everything they could to make it stay comfortable and pleasant. The bonsai trees are beautiful to be around, the pool is well kept, and breakfast is pretty good!

Location wise, it's an easy walk into Old Town, but if you're staying a little longer and driving, staying here means every trip requires driving through Old Town traffic, which is not fun. It's also a longer drive to the beach, about 15-20 minutes. But for walking or riding a bike to explore Old Town it's perfect. And you get a better glimpse of the day to day and culture of the people who live here, rather than just staying in old town.

We stayed in several different rooms (4 I think, over 2 stays) in our time here and they were all nice! Some better than others, some with little quirks, but all comfortable and clean. The only real issue we ran into was internet. It went down one night while we were there, and in one room we stayed in it was really spotty, dropped one video call I was on about 4 times. The property itself isn't very buggy compared to other places we've been but you still might want bug spray if you're eating grab at a table in the evening.

Autumn is very fair and friendly, and will give you a good deal if you're trying to stay a little longer! I highly recommend...

I had a very enjoyable and fantastic stay at Bonsai Villa. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Hoi An. I stayed for three nights and went as a solo traveller. Sometimes when I travel solo, I am not always given the best room, however, the room I was given at Bonsai Villa was so comfortable, clean and welcoming that I even decided to stay in one evening just to enjoy it. The villa is family run by Autumn and her family. They are not only experienced with dealing with guests, they are also professional and extremely helpful. For example, on the last day, my flight was delayed by a number of hours. Autumn was very accommodating and kind, which meant I didn't need to panic or feel stressed about my situation. Breakfast is included and is not only tasty, but gives you a great introduction to local food. In addition, the Villa is in a great location within easy walking distance of the old town. Perhaps not great for buggies/prams as there is a very narrow walkway to cross a bridge. You can also book a number of tours through the hotel and they also help you to arrange taxi services. Thank you for having me stay with you. I can't emphasise enough how much I enjoyed my...

What a stunning and beautifully run business! Travelling through Vietnam this would have to be one of the hotels you need to visit The host was incredibly friendly, accommodating and demonstrated a real care for her guests to have a nice a stay as possible during their booking. A friendly greeting at the desk when we arrive followed by showing us to our beautifully presented room boasting fresh fruit on arrival shortly before taking our order for our delicious included breakfast, where you can try some of Hoi Ans specialities or a more western style should you prefer. Their foyer area is littered with the most incredible and well looked after bonsais you have ever seen and the pool is encroached around them so you can swim at your leisure whilst enjoying the view. Out of the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy the quite but only a short 5 Min walk before your in the thick of it again I couldn’t thank them enough for our visit which spanned around 4 days and was sad to say goodbye in the airport transfer they organised for us upon leaving. Thankyou For Everything !

The best way of explaining why we loved our stay at Bonsai Villa hotel is through giving a breakdown of some of the reasons LOCATION excellent. About 400 metres from the Old Town. CLEANLINESS excellent. Spotlessly clean throughout OUR ROOM A very spacious room with a balcony BED.  Big bed with a new very comfortable mattress. Not too hard, not too soft. BATHROOM AND SHOWER. Spacious bathroom with a panelled walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. BREAKFAST Fabulous, made to order breakfast western or asian with very nice local fruit. GARDENS AND SWIMMING POOL a bonsai real art exhibition with a mini Japanese bridge and a koi pond full  of colourful fish surrounds the swimming pool THE HOSTS AND STAFF Gracious, accomodating and extremely helpful. Their English is good. We were sad when leaving this place. It was so very confortable and we were impressed by the kindness of the people from the hotel and also from the island during our stay. This small family run hotel ticks all the boxes and excedes expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It’s a beautiful staying here and the host family is super friendly, helpful. They tried their best to make our trip better. Breakfast has many options, ordered direct to reception one day before so they can prepare it fresh. Autumn gave us recommendation how to get a cheap ticket for lantern boat since we have a big group, we used their transport to the airport after check out, the driver spoke excellent English and nice. Location isn’t far to the town center unless you have kids, you may consider. (Our group has 3 kids so it’s a bit hard to walk around all the time when the weather is so hot and depend on taxi) However the villa is located away from the town around 950m, it’s quiet and peaceful to relax. P/s: there is no lift here in case you have big and heavy baggage, you do need a mosquitoes spray.
