We are an Australian family of 4 who have just today returned to Sydney from staying a week at the beautiful Gioan Boutique Villa in Hoi An.

Gioan Villa is a wonderful family run business where we were spoilt by the wonderful hosts Vina, Hanh and their beautiful family who are all hands on with running the business and making sure our stay was a special one.

The accommodation is super clean and the rooms are serviced regularly, the beds are very comfortable and the cold Aircon is a welcome relief after a long hot day exploring what Hoi An has to offer.

Having a swimming pool in the villa is an added bonus as me and the kids were in the pool at every opportunity day and night.

Vina and Hanh also run a cooking School from the Villa and I have to say that the Banana Pancakes are the best I have ever had!. The kids said the same for the Mango and Pineapple versions, it’s a must try!. Hanh was also kind enough to slip me the recipe as I was leaving.. Thankyou!

The Villa is located just a short 5-10min stroll from the beautiful Old Town in Hoi An yet its location is situated just far enough out of town to avoid all the noise so you get a peaceful nights sleep.

Vina and Hanh are more than happy to help with anything you need from booking tours, to organising transport to giving advice on anything you want to see or do In their beautiful home town of Hoi An.

I don’t write many reviews but my family and I had such a lovely time at the Gioan Boutique Villa that I was compelled to write something in support of their business, I have no hesitation in recommending The Gioan Boutique Villa to any traveller wether it be a single, couple or family.

This was my first time solo travelling in my life from North to South Vietnam. During my trip this was by far my favourite Homestay / Villa for so many reasons.

First off the room was very clean, comfortable, quiet, peaceful and in an amazing location. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Old Town which is perfect because you are outside of the noise but can easily access the major attractions. Gioan Boutique is also so safe and secure which makes you feel comfortable. There is a locked fence before getting into the property and each room is secure. Travelling solo I often was worried about leaving my stuff behind when I went out but not here.

On top of the amazing accommodation both Vina and Ho who run the villa / homestay are the most amazing people in the world. They are so friendly, make you laugh, smile and feel like you are part of their family. They know the best activities to do in Hoi An and even run their own cooking class here at the Villa which has delicious food. Everyone who I saw that stayed here was so happy to come back to the villa after spending time visiting all that Hoi An has to offer.

You can also rent a bike or scooter directly from the villa and they do your laundry and clean your room for you.

A lovely, comfy atmosphere and a nice place to stay. My boyfriend and myself have enjoyed our time together in Gioan Homestay and the owners of the house are very easy going and welcoming people, they made us feel like if we were part of the family! Nice Breakfast and the place is very close to the town centre.Also it is a very clean and super organised Homestay with a shower door as you should know that in Vietnam most of the time they have an open shower in their places. You can find an amazing place nearby for you to try different types of Bao Buns and coffee shops to taste Vietnamese coffee. We rented a scooter from Gioan for a very reasonable price and they helped us to book ticket to go to visit different sites in the area for good price. We didn’t have time to try the cooking class that the owner organise every day but I had the opportunity to watch it while having breakfast and they looked fun and interesting.
