Lisa Homestay 2 — Hotel in Hội An

Location is great, night market just below, but staff is not good. Rooms: We requested for 3 rooms at level 2 (for the elderly, need to climb stairs) and 3 rooms at level 3, total 6 rooms, they confirmed they are able to arrange then only we proceed with the booking. However when we are there, she gave us 1 room at level 2, 4 rooms at level 3 (5 rooms only) and keep insisting Family suite is 2 rooms. After showing bookings, messages and long argument only she apologize and gave us 2 rooms (instead of 3) at level 2, 4 rooms at level 3. Service is really bad.

Transport: We booked 16-seat minibus from them, from Da-nang, its all good, enough luggage space, enough seats. When 2nd day to Da Nang, it came a smaller one, not enough luggage space, not enough seat. We are the one seated the van, we can definitely tell its the different one. After some argument, her attitude getting bad, start shouting at us insisting its the same van and ask us to book another sedan car from her.

Cleanliness: I'm scared of cockroach, when i saw one at the stairs and ask for the staff to help, she's laughing instead of helping to catch. My aunty came to help instead. And there's some stains on the bedsheet.

There's no hot water at night time, i have to shower cold water, asked them and they say is too many people shower at the same time the heater take times to heat up.

I booked 1 night and extended to an amazing 4-night stay at Lisa Homestay 2 in Hoi An! Lisa is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have a fantastic experience. She provided invaluable tips on the best activities, from cooking classes and boat trips to massage spots and taxi rides. Lisa is incredibly well-connected with trustworthy people and always secures the best deals—better than anything you could bargain for yourself.

Her honesty, efficiency, and warm personality make her a standout host. The homestay’s location is perfect—right in the heart of the vibrant night market, surrounded by fantastic restaurants (my favorite was Vy’s Market at the main corner, that fruit juice 50m in the street, and BanhMi Queen!). Despite being in the middle of the action, the area quiets down by 9:30 PM, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep.

This accommodation was our perfect stay in Hoi An for almost two weeks! It is bang in the middle of the night market in the Hoi An Ancient Town. Just stepping out, you have tons of things to eat and buy in the night market which is everyday from 4pm to 9pm! This accommodation is around 150m from the riverside and Hoi An Old Town where there are tons of restaurants, markets and clubs. The best thing is once the night market closes at 9pm, it is completely silent as it is away from the clubs (even though they are very near). Staying here, you can literally explore the entire city just on foot!

The room is exactly as described and we had a very comfortable stay. The owner is excellent, helpful and was always available whenever we needed anything. There is a little lift to take your luggage upstairs and the rooms are cleaned everyday!
