Let me tell about unpleasant experience in this hotel. I had a good time in this hotel except one thing. The reason that I post on this is that there would be no more victims again.
As a traveler, I get furious whenever I am treated unequal compared with other guests. There are 3 lady receptionists and one guy as far as I know. All of them have a good personality Except one lady named "MI". She always smiles. But unfortunately I would say it is Fake smile.
As you can see on the picture that I posted, there are 5 items as a breakfast menu. For me I booked a room with breakfast. When I started to order, she approached me and said "Oh I forgot to say this. The menu number 1, 2 is free but for the number 3, 4, 5, you shoud pay" How come she tells a lie with smiling face. (Because all the menu are free, I noticed this fact one day later) At that time there are 3 guest having noodles as breakfast around. Sometimes she threw dry jokes to the guest with smiling face. As I am old enough, I can judge what is sincere and what is fake.
Would it be the first case? If not, how many times did she try before? And where is the money she got? Was it still in her pocket?
I expect her to change her behavior. And be sincere to the guests. I think All the guests know her fake smiles. Unfortunately only one that doesn't know is herself ironically. And it will be good both hotel owner and Vietnam images. Big lies comes from small lies. I hope she learns...
Read moreHidden away in a little alley, it’s nice to be away from the street noise. It’s extremely well located with an entrance right into backpackers street and in the midst of the action. We were greeted upon arrival (there’s two Saigoneers - one hotel and one hostel) across from each other. There’s no elevator here so if you’re older or have hip problems Id recommend you pass, the stairs are steep but not really an issue for us. The rooms are clean, they provide you with fresh laundered warm towels and sandals for inside showering. These are Vietnamese showers so expect a shower beside the toilet - place your clothes up on the rack and they won’t get wet. Bring flip flops to walk around the room in.
Food: our stay included breakfast. Great coffee, friendly employees. The noodles were fairly average - nothing to...
Read moreThis hotel unapologetically runs a bait and switch scam. You book online then on arrival they say "oh sorry your room is on the 5th floor and we have no lift." Meaning anytime you want to leave your room you must climb 10 flights of stairs. Now imagine you have mobility issues. So, "sorry I can't climb that many stairs, may I have a lower room?" "Yes, but it will cost an extra $10 a night (for an identical room)." No mention of there being no lift on the agoda booking page. "okay, I'll take a refund." "no refunds." Scam hotel 0/10 please avoid. The receptionist is a smarmy...
