Nam Long Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Charged me USD18 for twin bed if I stayed for 2N. Then I realized A/C remote no battery. Sent down son to change. And later found out TV remote not working too. So when we go down for dinner, I passed remote to recept saying to change battery & I'll pick up later when return. Son not feeling well & otw back to room he threw up at lift lobby. Staff just looked on with disgust. After sending my boy up to clean up, one staff approached me saying I've to pay for cleaning services. And it'll cost me USD$5. Huh??!! When he saw me getting upset, he then said "ok u pay cleaner 50,000vnd". Being more concerned about my boy then arguing abt the US$2+ fee, I paid up & went off. Came down later to ask abt remote control, & his reply was " not working. I already call TV person. Tmr give u new one". Seriously?! This hotel TV remote is so tuned to specific room's TV that u need to call someone to change battery??!! I know for sure I'll rather pay the extra US$2 for tonight & check out...

Unfortunately our Hotel was overbooked. So they sent us the Nam Long. We had no real choice, because it was already 10pm. I would rather sleep on the ground, instead on that bed.
