My fiancé and I arrived earlier than our check in time but they were very accommodating and allowed us into our room early. You get a locker for your shoes and they provide slippers. We checked into a private room, with en-suite bathroom. Be sure to turn on the hot water an hour or so before you want to shower, we would turn it on, go out for dinner then come back and have enough for us to shower together quickly. Also the water wouldn’t drain. Lots of mosquitoes in our room, we hung a bug net to keep ourselves safe. We heard others complaining in the group dorms about running out of hot water. The communal washrooms were kept decently clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand soap (at least the few times I used it). Our private room came with soap, tooth brush, and towels. The girls at the front are always very friendly and help with any questions you have. They offer laundry services at a charge, we did a load and our clothes came back dry and smelling awesome within a few hours. Go Sapa Hostel offered free breakfast we went with the baguette and jam in the mornings- great option (especially if you see the kitchen, you don’t want to cook in there). restaurants are relatively cheap near by and I wouldn’t recommend cooking at the hostel, very dirty kitchen and not really many tools. We attempted something, but ended up eating out instead. The bed was liveable, kinda springy to the back, but the pillows were great! We came here in October when the weather wasn’t the best, but the views from the common area would be unreal (so beautiful when we could see)! Beers and water at the front desk fridge for sale were decently priced! We bought some from a store in town and we’re able to store in the kitchen fridge. Common area lights shut off at 10 so can’t socialize too late, but that’s good...

Best views from the terrace of the restaurant for value. Nice and comfortable beds.
I stayed 2 nights. I arrived early in the morning and they let me store my luggage and go to explore. Some workers they don’t know much English but we understood each other. Nice coffee.
After check out, I could left my luggage again there, no problem. Even more, arrived after the trekking and they allow me to have shower, provided me another towel and one Vietnamese lady cleaned my moody trainers. I booked a sleeping bus with them and they organise a taxi for me with time. When realised once I was in the bus station that I left my only shoes at hostel, call David and he brought them in 5’ not accepting me a tip. He saved me!
The only but I could say is, one of the sinks at bathroom was stuck. Apart from that minor issue, best hostel I have stayed in Vietnam.
Highly...
Read moreJust the view from the hostel is amazing; to sit outside, having breakfast while overlooking the valley is an experience by itself. This hostel has a large common area, consisting of a restaurant with great views and a covered court with a fireplace. The dorms are clean and not to cramped with big lockers. Some dorms have an ensuite bathroom, others don't. Showers and bathrooms are clean with warm water and good water pressure. The restaurant sells a good selection of western and Vietnamese dishes for reasonable prices. Foosball in the restaurant. Friendly staff, scooter rental, good free WiFi. Close to downtown and 30 minute walk from cable car. Luggage storage available. Good place to hang out and meet people. Mattresses...
