Swan Sapa Hotel — Hotel in Sa Pa Ward

I stayed here for two nights during my trip to Sa Pa. Overall, it was an okay experience—some good points, but also a few things that could be improved.

I originally booked a single room, but I was given a family room with one king bed and one queen bed instead. It seems the hotel still manages bookings manually, but if you’re traveling with friends, this would actually be a nice upgrade.

I booked through Traveloka, but note that the property only accepts payment on-site and in cash, which can be a bit inconvenient since they don’t take credit cards.

When I first arrived, the staff/owner was resting on the sofa in the lobby—something you wouldn’t see in chain hotels, but this seems to be a small, family-run place.

❌ Cash payment only ❌ Parking may be tricky if you bring a car, as the courtyard is shared with neighboring buildings ❌ In my case, the bathroom floor drained poorly, the overhead shower was difficult to use, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly

Overall, it’s a reasonable option for a short stay in Sa Pa if you don’t mind the cash-only policy and some minor...

The rooms are small, but the bed was comfortable. You barely have a view of the mountains. The hotel forgot to put clean towels in my room. The staff don’t speak English, but are friendly and want to help you. There was a spider in the room, which I killed. But overall when you are inside the room it is very clean. However, the hallways smelt abit mucky and I killed a cockroach in the hallway.

They have a set menu for dinner/lunch which looked to be the same. Dinner tasted average. The chicken with sauce was good. The pumpkin soup did not have flavour, it was not good. Breakfast does not have a lot of options. I found the hotel very expensive in Vietnam for what...
