Sapa Big Tree Restaurant — Restaurant in Sa Pa Ward

The food was excellent. Very fresh, very tasty, the portions were big, and the presentation of the food was also great. Not very pricey - we ate in other places which were way more expensive but the food was not as good as here. The waiter spoke good English and was very helpful with recommendations. May seem like a small thing but I don’t like it when I have no idea what is written in the menu and the waiter can’t help. :) I have only one photo the rest of the dishes we ate before thinking it would be good to take photos.

PS. No, this is not a review asked for by the owner, we’ve not met him or her. People complaining abt the slow service should understand that this is not a fast food restaurant where it takes 5 minutes to put in the microwave a piece of chicken that stayed in the freezer for 5 years. They prepare a meal from scratch (or at least that’s the impression I had) and that takes time. If you are a big group- it takes even more time. If you are late for the bus, go...

This place is a total letdown. We spent three hours waiting for our food, and when we followed up, we were told that they could not do anything to speed up because we’re a big group. We occupied two tables, and they were processing our orders BY TABLE instead of processing together the COMMON DISHES that we ordered. When our food finally came, they got some of our orders wrong, and we had to wait some more. The food was not worth it especially with the price - this was the most expensive restaurant that we went to in Sapa. We decided to try it because it has perfect 5 stars out of 226 reviews, so we were really surprised with the food quality and service. Turns out the owner asks the customers not to leave bad reviews online. Definitely not...

Worst restaurant we've eaten at Sapa. Don't be fooled by their multiple 5 star reviews. Even though their service and food are the worse, they make sure to convince people to leave good reviews because of their excuses that they are understaff. We were the only group there but it took 2 hrs to serve some of the orders. Yes, when our order was served after 2 hours, its still is noy complete

We saw a group of ladies who were asking for refund because they will be left by their bus if they'll stay and wait for their food (2 hrs as well).

Also, after this review, there will be good reviews afterwards. They have trolls apparently.
