SMALL NOTES AT THE BOTTOM (may want to look)|When we first arrived at the reception, the receptionist there was extremely kind and understanding, giving us maps of the area and recommending some spots. She gave us our room card after sorting out payments. The receptionist made sure we'd pressed the right floor on the lift and then left us to find our room. The lift was old, there being only one. When it came closer to floor 5, it would suddenly slow down, scaring us, then proceed to bob up and down as it slowly got to floor 5 before stopping and opening the doors. The middle area where you get to the lift from the rooms is very small compared to other places, and so we found our room very quickly. Rooms 13 and 14 have stairs and lead you to what is essentially floor 6. ||Sleeping arrangements |Our family booked this apartment for two nights. The apartment we booked had 3 beds in total: 2 single beds and 1 queen-sized bed in a separate room, right across from each other. The beds weren't bad, a bit hard, but the problem I had was with the pillows; they're quite lumpy, and I didn't end up using them due to them being too high for my head. ||Living room and overall|The whole place looked quite old, and the majority of the lights were upside-down domes that had yellow lights, giving the room a warm feel. This is one of the lower-spec apartments. Looking at the other apartments in the photos provided, however, this one gave a cosy feeling inside. With fluffy carpeting, a glass table, and an artistic arched glass table as a coffee table in front of the TV. Two couches were provided in front of the TV, quite a way away from it. The TV itself fit right into the theme; it was small, definitely not a smart TV, and had one HDMI output behind the TV and, next to it, a cassette player that was in good condition. Underneath the TV was a radio of sorts and a DVD player. Normal TV channels were available. ||Bathroom 1/2 (I didn't see the other one as I didn't use it)|In the bathroom, there were normal necessities, including a toilet, shower, bathtub, sink, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, circle of handwashing soap, and body lotion. The thing that caught my eye and was worth noting was the shower. The shower was aimed into the bathtub (the control to let the water out was two spinning handles that were labelled "hot" and "cold"), where you stood inside and washed yourself. To the side of it, to block the water from spitting onto the rest of the bathroom while you showered, was a glass door that could move from side to side attached to the wall. This kept most of the water in, yet some water would still end up spitting onto the other side because there was a gap between the lip of the bathtub and the glass wall, as well as the natural sitting position, letting the water drip down onto the lip, splattering the water further. In reality, this wasn't a big deal; it only let through a small amount of splatter and had a drain right outside in that spot to catch the water, but it annoyed me all the same.||Fridge |In a normal review you would never have a section labelled as fridge, although this one had a few parts to it that I thought were worth mentioning. Whenever you opened the fridge after it'd been a bit (it had a sort of cooldown?), it would let out 2 beeps, like how when you keep a fridge door open for too long, it starts beeping for you to shut it before it lets out too much cold air. In the freezer section of the fridge above, something was a bit off; there had been some sort of water spill of sorts where the grill had been frozen to the bottom of the freezer by a huge slab of ice sitting at the bottom of it. I doubt this was the case for any other fridges in the apartments. ||Small Notes|- The view is just the building in front. |- There is cooking equipment provided: cutlery, plates, cups (glass), bowls, cake tins, frying pans, sugar, and coffee. |- In the room, there is a vacuum cleaner in...

Flinders Landing Apartments in Melbourne proved to be a disappointing and unpleasant experience. Upon checking in, we discovered a shocking lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the apartment. The presence of rotten rubbish under the kitchen sink created a foul odor, indicating that the apartment had not been properly inspected before our arrival. Although housecleaning was able to eliminate the smell, it was only the tip of the iceberg.
We encountered numerous issues throughout our stay, including a substantial hole in the ceiling with mold growth. This not only posed a health hazard but also highlighted a disregard for proper maintenance. Additionally, the apartment was covered in a noticeable film of dust, suggesting a lack of attention to detail and cleanliness.
To make matters worse, the absence of a shower curtain was an unexpected inconvenience. However, the most alarming concern was the cracked balcony decking. Walking on the balcony felt precarious, as it was clear that the decaying decking could potentially lead to a fatal fall from the seven-story height.
This experience at Flinders Landing Apartments fell far below acceptable standards. Prospective guests should be aware of these issues and exercise caution when considering this accommodation. The provided photos serve as evidence of these concerns and highlight the need for improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and safety measures at Flinders...

We stayed at Flinders Landing Apartments 8th of March 2024 overnight after a concert and honestly, I wish we had chosen anywhere else.
The only positive was the friendly receptionist at check-in. Unfortunately, that’s where the good experience ended. We were put in a basement room — while the space looked okay and was reasonably clean at first glance, there was mould in the bathroom, which is unacceptable in any accommodation, let alone one charging these rates.
The worst part by far was the bed. It was horrible — lumpy, sagging, and incredibly uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep at all and ended up on the couch and even the floor, just trying to get a bit of rest. For the price, we weren’t expecting luxury, but even a basic motel bed would have been an improvement. The pillows were just as bad — completely misshapen, like they'd been washed and never fluffed, with all the filling clumped to one side.
To make things worse, there was a dirty plate sitting in the stairwell that looked like it had been there a while — clearly no attention to cleanliness in shared areas.
All in all, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience, and definitely not worth the money. We won’t be coming back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. 👎😤
