I've come here a few times with a friend in the span of around 1 - 2 months. Definitely 1 of my 2 favourite deli's so far. It's a rare find for me.
The place is very clean but with limited dining options nearby, however, it's currently part of the Dandenong markets and there's ample seating areas in the 'food court' areas outside near the food trucks. I actually recommend doing this as the seating area inside is small and closer to a fish market/butcher.
Parking is a bit rough, though not the fault of the deli, it can get busy so factor this in if time is paramount for you. In saying that, if you don't feel like parking in Dandenong Markets, there's heaps of car parks around if you don't mind a little bit of a 5 minute walk. The shop is easily accessible as well, right near 1 of the entrances and surrounded by a few more.
The service is amazing. The staff; primarily the owner/manager is super friendly and makes you feel very welcome when shopping there.
Ordering is fairly easy and over the counter. Wait times are not very long during quiet hours, during busy hours it's not very long either but still worth the wait anyway.
Their menu is pretty good for their paninis/roles, some good options to choose from. Prices are upfront for fixed rolls or you can customise/make your own with varying prices.
The pricing may come off as expensive at first, but you really get what you pay for. They're not stingy and don't skimp on anything like meats or olives. Your belly will think you've over ordered.
More importantly, the flavours are delicious, everything tastes fresh as well. The bread isn't too hard or chewy. You can taste flavour with almost every bite. You can buy pre-made rolls if they have them available/ready or they make it on the spot for you. The rolls are wrapped nicely for takeaway and cut in half in case you can't finish it all which may very well happen considering how much you get. This is also one of the rare occasions where a deli offers rolls to begin with but also using their own ingredients and I think it's a great way to try some of the ingredients they sell and how it can be made, which you can then purchase separately to take home.
We've also tried their dips and crackers and the dips were amazing. Tried the capsicum dip and the smoked salmon dip. Both were delicious. I'm not usually a fan of sea food or anything fish related really but loved the smoked salmon dip. The crackers we just picked at random and they were really nice too. They also didn't randomly break which is a plus considering they were fairly large-ish.
When it comes to Uber, we've used this once or twice to our workplace too, the deli is pretty much by the book, which is also hard to find in places that use Uber, some places just send you the food no seals nothing, but Nesh's Corner seems to follow Uber's guidelines, packs it with care, seals it and even accommodates the order notes too if they can. So if you can't make it there for whatever reason, and as much as I hate Uber ironically, give it a go cause Nesh's Corner does their part right.
I'll definitely be coming back here as much as I can and my friend has advised she will be as well (she introduced me to this place). Easily one of the best Deli's and I'll definitely be trying their selection of hams/salamis, cheeses, olives, more dips etc... I hope they keep up the good work and wish the best for this...
Read moreI honestly thought I had left a review before. Apparently I did not.
This is the best deli I have ever been to. The quality of the cheeses, deli meats and THEIR SANDWICHES. Stunning. The quality of service as well, absolutely lovely staff.
I tell everyone to swing by Nesh's if they are in Dandenong because they cannot pass up the opportunity for a bloody good sandwich.
I always order from Doordash. If they are in your area, ORDER THEM. You don't even have to go in store, however, I highly recommend going to the store and seeing the wonderful selection they have. I had the opportunity to visit them today as I do not live in the area and it was an absolute delight.
Please keep up the fantastic work you guys do and please never close. I will be gutted...
Read more1st time in Dandenong markets, walking around and found this deli meat store that also makes panini. The meats all looked so good! Got the Peppa Roll and a ' create your own' panini. 🥪 Everyone is so nice and making it fresh, even cutting it in half for easy to eat. After finding seats in the market to sit and finally eat, we got asked by two people where these sandwiches came from as it looked stunning! 😹The cross sections looked amazing and tasted amazing too! They were so big, had to take half home to eat later. Definitely coming back to try their other...
