Appalling customer service! I tried on some clothes in the changeroom and a beeper fell off a pair of shorts, when I came out of the changeroom the girl says to me "can I check all the clothes coz I saw the beeper fall on the floor" to which I obliged and said to her that there was still another beeper on the shorts and don't know how the other beeper fell off. Every item of clothing I tried on still had beepers on them, some even had two, which to me is a bit extreme. She then asked to check my bag, implying that I had stolen something. My bag was quite small, hardly big enough to stash any clothes inside. I was then followed to near the checkout area, as I was looking at shoes and could hear her telling the checkout girls to keep an eye on me as she assumed I was trying to steal! I should have left the store then and there, but instead spent $271 after being treated like a criminal, a big mistake that was, as after I got home I noticed on the back of a pair of shorts I had purchased that there was a huge hole from where the beeper was removed. I didn't realise at the time, but wondered why the checkout girl had given me a funny look when she was removing the beeper, so she obviously knew what she had done and hoped I didn't notice and was knowingly dishonest and sold me a damaged item due to her own carelessness! Which wouldn't have been a problem if they weren't a $50 pair of shorts, so not exactly something you want damaged before you even get to wear them! I had to repurchase the shorts online, as I had bought the last size 8, so what should have been a simple purchase, has turned into an inconvenience due to the careless idiots they have working there. I hope I am able to get a refund for the damaged shorts, as I have heard this certain store only likes to give exchanges or store credit, which by the way is against their policy according to the city beach website. I have made a formal complaint about this, so hopefully this certain store gets the proper training on how to treat customers and have some common sense and not damage the clothing before you can even get to wear it!
My tip is to avoid this store and save yourself the hassle and just shop online! They have poor customer service and are rude! And the staff are obviously careless and don't care if the items you buy are damaged or not. There's also not enough checkouts open and the staff just stand around doing sweet fa talking amongst themselves whilst you stand there like an idiot waiting...

This bunch of Muppets in Perth City need a reality check & a dose of basic 101 politeness, let alone customer service skills. The manager was behind the counter, but instead of helping the only other staff member serve a que of customers on her own. He just looks up at me waiting & at the line of customers next to me as well. Yet turns back & continues chatting up this chic at the end of the counter. Even she had looked up at me as I stood in front of the counter, then looked back at the manager, with a big smirk on her face & said, "Are you going to serve him?" I watched him avoid my eye contact, shake his head & mutter under his breath, "Nah she can." I couldn't believe my eyes & ears & honestly, neither could the girl getting chatted up by him! Although she happily kept listening to this arrogant kid who's undeserving of being in a customer's service role. When's I finally got served by the only girl behind them counter. Hey dissatisfaction with receiving no help from him was written all over her face & her tone of voice dripped with content for being left on her own. So when she told me there was no exchange policy for the present that I was buying for my Dad's Father's Day, I just walked out of the store & asked the girl at the front entrance where the next surf shop was & she suggested Rebel Sports. So I happily rang them, sent there & have them my money & City Beach an unworthy one start rating. Which is one star...

Picked up a wet suit which was a size too small, asked about the larger size and I was told it's in stock, but out the back somewhere. Rather than going to get it, I was told to buy it online.. so rather than having the item same day I have to wait up to a week before I received it??..
Update - My package arrived 3 days late, and it turns out they have sent me the wrong item! lol. Now I have to return it back and wait for them to receive it back, before they will send me what I actually paid for. That's going to be 3 weeks, if not 4 due to busy X-mas postage period.
Update update - Ended up calling a store they "set the wet suit aside for me in the correct size as they have it in stock now" got there today, returned my wrong item and they charged me an extra $50 as the one they set aside was the next model suit up from the one I wanted.
