Bizarre and Uncomfortable Experience - Avoid DDT27

My recent visit to DDT27 was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a massage place. It started off well enough when we called for directions at 7:00pm, and while we found the business after navigating through two very dark and isolated hallways, that was about the only helpful part of the evening.

We asked for two foot massages and one full body massage, and after deciding to upgrade from 30 to 45 minutes, we paid and were ready to relax. My friend was led away for his full body massage while his wife and I soaked our feet, expecting our foot massages to start shortly. However, what we didn’t realize at the time was that the massage technician did not have enough staff available (despite confirming otherwise), and she spent the next 25+ minutes trying to call someone in to help.

Then, things took a bizarre turn. A white elderly man, completely unknown to us, walked into the premises and was directed to sit down in front of my friend by the massage technician. To our shock, she handed him a towel and started instructing him on how to massage and dry my friend’s feet! We immediately stopped the service, confused and uncomfortable, and asked for an explanation.

What followed was a complete mess. The massage tech said she would first massage me while my friend waited for 45 minutes, then switch to her. We refused – we were on vacation and had planned for a 45-minute session, not a 2+ hour ordeal. To make things worse, the man claimed he had been called to the shop by text. Whether he was there to get a massage or somehow to give one, I still don’t know, and frankly, I don’t care.

We requested a refund, which was processed in cash even though we had paid by card. By that point, we were incredibly uncomfortable and declined the offer to stay while my friend’s husband finished his massage. We waited outside instead.

When we returned after 50 minutes, my friend’s husband was told he had “5 more minutes” left. Thankfully, nothing strange happened to him, but the entire experience was overwhelmingly weird and unsettling.

Looking back, it seems the glowing reviews of DDT27 may not reflect reality. They all seem to come from the same demographic, and our experience definitely didn’t match those reviews. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you’re looking for a professional,...

Frankly, a very underwhelming experience with their massage. The location itself is quite tricky to find and probably losing business against all the bigger establishments in Thai town. I knew straight away that my massage session wasn't going to be good the moment she laid hands on my back, so I wanted to cancel, but then the manager came in, and she took over.
