I am writing this review on the service I received at your Chatswood store today. I have been a loyal customer of Sheike for over 11 years and have never encountered such a distressing experience. I visited the store to return clothes I purchased on Monday, 30th September, for a total of over $900. When I bought the items, I informed the sales associate that I might return some as I wasnât sure which outfits I would wear. She assured me that as long as the items were unworn and still had their tags attached, I could return them. Today, however, when I attempted to make the return, I was met with an incredibly negative and uncomfortable experience from a sales associate named Sandra (tall, dark, braided hair). From the moment I walked into the store, I could sense her judgmental attitude. She immediately made me feel uneasy and accused me of wearing the clothes I was returning, even though they were unworn with the original tags still intact. Sandra proceeded to sniff the clothes and claimed she could smell smoke, food, perfume, and body odor on them. Despite my explanations that the items had not been worn, she refused to process the return for two of the items and made inappropriate comments about people removing and reattaching tags. I tried to reason with her, suggesting that any smells might have come from other customers trying the items on in-store. She insisted I had worn the clothes and stated she would notify the head office and other Sheike stores to prevent me from returning the items elsewhere. During this exchange, Sandra was extremely rude and dismissive. I will be honest I was rude too.. A colleague of hers, who I later learned was the store manager, was present but did not intervene in a helpful manner. I was so upset by the situation that I left feeling humiliated and deeply frustrated. Following this, I contacted your head office and spoke to a staff member named Adam, who kindly suggested I try returning the items at another store ans see what they say.. then went to the QVB store, where I was treated with respect. The staff there inspected the clothes and processed my full refund without any issue, confirming that the items were indeed unworn. This experience at the Chatswood store was highly distressing. Sandraâs behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. I am concerned that she may be treating other customers in a similar manner. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide further training to your staff to ensure this type of interaction does not...
Read moreI do love shopping at Sheike as I love the variety of looks they have on offer. There styles are on point and there clothing clearly make women feel a certain way about themselves.
In saying that I was quite disappointed with the latest experience we had last night at the Chatswood store.
One of my girlfriends was looking for a certain style for an event she was attending. She managed to put the skirt on hold but needed a few tops to pull it off.
I found it interesting that for a Thursday night, there were 3 ladies rostered on the floor but service was a no show.
Also I donât think itâs very professional having staff trying on outfits when customers are in clear need of attention and styling support. There was at least 4 women in that change room that might have wanted some assistance.
The icing on the cake was when we talked to the acting store manager Sandra. There was clearly a fault on the skirt that we purchased but we were told to just exchange it in the Macquarie store as they have 2 available. You would think they would call the store to place the item on hold for us? No. Unfortunately we were told it would be easier for us to call as they donât normally pick up the phone so there would be no point.
Funny enough that was a true statement as we called the Macquarie store inside the Chatswood store at least 15 times ourselves. It was ringing for 3 calls, the rest of the times we tried, the phone was off the hook. Wow!
No offence but if this store is disappointed about NOT making budget for the day! I believe they need to do a little bit of self reflecting on maybe the REAL reasons behind there missed opportunities.
Also eye rolling is a no no! I teach my kids basic human respect!
We walked out of that store feeling like we purchased 3 items but why did we even bother?
It was a Thursday night self care...
Read moreI visited this store last week to get advice on what style of clothing would suit my body shape; it had changed after major surgery due to cancer, I have been embarassed about my body since and haven't been shopping since the operation.
I spoke with a lovely lady named Nyome and her friendliness quickly put me at ease. She was very professional and empathetic to my needs and before long, I was trying on some pieces that I normally wouldn't consider however, the clothes made me not only look amazing but I felt beautiful again.
Nyome has a gift with her knowledge of fashion and understanding of what styles suit different body shapes and listening to people's needs. Her professionalism and people skills are beyond anything I have experienced before and I will definitely be coming back. I will also note that the other consultant I spoke with during my visit, Emma, also gave great advice to me and provided wonderful service to other customers which needs to be acknowledged.
Because of this I not only recommend your specific store but also Nyome's services. In fact, some friends visited the store after I told them of my experience and they too agree with me. Sheike take note, hold on to Nyome and other staff members like her as she is a rare gem and an assett to your company.
5+ stars...
