Reel Dreams Bahamas — Local services in New Providence

I dont even know where to begin! My sons and I are avid freshwater anglers, so when we booked a cruise to the bahammas we had to bend a rod! I was going to book the charter through carnival, but I wasn't feeling the reviews of the charter that they sponsor. So I turned to Google, did some research and found Reel Dream. I am extremely happy that I did. Adonis from Reel Dreams quickly answered my call and answered all of my questions. He was able to accommodate our arrival time to the island and quickly emailed me the contract. He kept email communication through the months leading up to our trip, and weather updates days before. I found that to be fantastic. That's when the fun began. Captain justin met us sharply on time and had everything ready to go. As soon as we met I felt like I had known him for years! We were in great hands. The boat was clean and well maintained. He wasted no time getting us on fish! He knows the waters well! 10 seconds after the bait hit the water we were on fish! We caught a trophy mutton, a yellow tail, dozens of reef fish and a trophy cubera snapper. The cubera was 75lbs on 30Lb fluorocarbon and light tackle. The equipment handled flawlessly! We shared fishing stories! Justin educated us on bahamian life, he shared so much information on the ocean and the marine life. I could listen for ever. After we put the rods away he cranked the radio for the boat ride back. We were dancing and having a blast! My boys said that was the best day of their lives! This is way late because I couldn’t find the name of the company until I saw it on a shirt in a picture from last year. Here we are coming full circle and considering booking with these guys again. Interesting story, we booked with them and there were some issues with a motor so we were going to have to reschedule. We left pretty bummed, kids were bummed but I could tell the Cpt felt it too. We were staying at Atlantis across the marina. By the time we got back to our room and Wi-Fi connected I had voicemail and phone calls coming in telling us to come back and they set us up on a vastly larger boat at no additional charge. That is customer service right there. The kids enjoyed it. We got to catch some fish and see the surrounding waters. Searched for the Magnificent Bird with Justin. And had an awesome time. First we caught two Mahi almost simultaneously on two of the three lines we were trolling. Got one Bull male about 25 lbs and 40+ inches and a female maybe 12-14 lbs and 30”. We then also did some drop lines and got a Yellow Tail Snapper, a few Strawberry Grouper, sucker fish raymora , white grunt, and a speckled hind.

Our daughter had never caught a fish and caught four and my son and i caught the Mahi and some of the others.

Justin our guide was enthusiastic and entertaining, very knowledgeable. Truly a great experience that was very memorable.

My wife didn’t catch anything other than choosing to seek the Magnificent Frigate Bird that delivered us the tasty Mahi. What a great time.

Great operation. We met other captains / guides at the dock and were quite impressed.
