We stayed here for 6 nights and really enjoyed it. Cheap, quiet, relaxing, friendly staff and awesome location. If you read the reviews and look at the photos - you get a pretty good idea of what this place is like. We knew we weren’t booking a 5 star resort - and it delivered exactly as we expected. Im giving it 4/5 because of the value for money. Sure there are much more luxurious places in the area - but they come with much bigger price tags. This place is considerably cheaper. The quality reflects it - but it has everything you need if you want to do Nassau on a budget. We arrived to exactly what we expected. Just a 10min walk to Cabbage Beach, a short walk to a small grocery store and close by Atlantis if you want to visit the waterpark. We walked across the Sidney Poitier bridge too - visited Bay Street and Junkanoo Beach. This was around a 45min walk. You could get a cab but we wanted to experience some of the island by ourselves. There is 24 hour security at the front desk, so it feels safe and secure. It’s also in a nice area. The room wasn’t super clean - there were stains on some of the furniture. But we didn’t really mind given the much cheaper price. If you want to be in Paradise Island but don’t want to spend £300+ per night, this...
Read moreI’m stuck between a 3 and a 4 on this. The rooms themselves are a little dated but incredibly comfortable. Furniture is great, kitchen well equipped, super comfy bed, good AC, nice back deck.
If it were rooms alone, it would be a 5/5 even though they are old (the only one real issue being the cable doesn’t really work). The lower rating comes from 1. The facilities and 2. the location. Many of the promised hotel facilities were never open including the fitness center, the restaurant, and the mini mart. The mini mart being closed was very bad because, leading to my other point, the location sucked. It was technically about 10 minutes from cabbage beach and 15 minutes from grocery store. However, when the temperatures are in the mid 90s and the sun is beating down and you are walking uphill on roads that often lack sidewalks it is a miserable experience.
All said, if you want to go to Paradise Island on the cheap this is the place for you. However, the lessons we learned was that it is totally worth it if possible to go for a shorter amount of time and shell out for Atlantis or RIU or one of the top...
Read moreUnit 144 was big with private patio, but had no handrail on steps down to the front door, also no non skid in bathtub floor. Had to go up 20 steps to office, since I was alone I had to take my luggage up with me to check in! Mini market on site closed at 4pm, so no drink vending machine I could find! Tap water smelled & tased awful! Ordered a medium pizza & drink from Domino's cost $26+. When they did not show I called & found out they wrote my room number down wrong & they did not bother to call the manager to ask because they had my name on my order. Overall room was clean, but furniture dated! Had TV in living room & bedroom. Advertising said restaurant on site, but that had closed up & closest food was a 10 minute walk away! Just average & 30 minutes from the airport! Taxi cost to Pardise Island is $45 one way! I live 1 hour from LAX & can get an individual ride for $39-44...
