Had a pretty poor experience with my ultrasound tech today. He mumbled and spoke low throughout, and then seemed annoyed when I would ask him to repeat himself. But isn't the issue that terribly bothers me.

Once my appointment was completed, and I was driving back to work, he called me to tell me I had to return to the clinic as soon as possible so they could "check something", but wouldn't tell me what. Only that it was important, but nothing to worry about. I figured he had to redo one of the imaging passes. In which case, why not just tell me?

I get all the way back, pay for downtown parking a second time, and they get me back on the table (thankfully I didn't have to wait). Then I discover that he's imaging on a wholly different part of my abdomen. Which tells me he entirely forgot one of the imaging series he was supposed to do. He thanked me for coming back, but didn't seem terribly apologetic.

Look, I get making a mistake. I don't expect perfection, especially when it's been an even more stressful end-of-year than most. But it annoys me immeasurably when somebody tries to hide an obvious mistake, instead of just being honest about what happened, and then barely acknowledges the inconvenience that they have downloaded on me. Frankly the behaviour overall suggests that this tech didn't see my time or my money as worth much of a damn.

While the reception staff was pleasant, if I need to attend a private ultrasound clinic in the future, I'll be looking...

Very informative and quick service at this location! Could get confusing on how to get to the concourse level, but otherwise worth the visit. Make sure to email or fax your requisition to get your appointment as someone will follow up in a business day or so. They will call you ahead of time for the appointment and will email or fax your doctor as well.

They offer multiple services here but check their website and call to make sure their services are available as the x-ray was not available earlier and had to go to another location. They usually recommend the Bay location (for x-ray) but it is too busy there all the time.

The receptionists were busy but very informative on any questions you had. Additionally, they have an organized system pending on the service you need and the receptionists will lead you to your area. Cardiology was located a few steps further from the entrance around the corner where they had chairs for waiting for your appointment.

Location-wise, if accessing from the street level at RSM Place entrance, there are 4 elevators but 3 go down, and 1 does not access the concourse level to get to the Centre. If you're accessing via the concourse or PATH level, the entrance is located...

My husband and I had a very unpleasant encounter at this clinic with the front desk staff member named Shawn. He displayed shortness, rudeness and sarcasm throughout our interaction. Today I visited for my 12- week ultrasound and Nuchal Translucency Scan. Shawn insisted on bloodwork, sarcastically remarking, “you should check with your doctor” (whilst rolling his eyes), when I clarified that I was only there for an ultrasound. If he was better informed, he would understand that some women opt for NIPT bloodwork as early as 9 weeks, making additional bloodwork unnecessary at this stage. His demeanour truly ruined the experience and for both my husband and myself.

I want to commend Jessica, our ultrasound Technician, for her warmth and friendliness. Her positive attitude greatly improved the overall experience. Jessica is the reason why I opted for 2 starts instead of 1.

Regrettably, due to my negative encounter with Shawn, I have decided not to return to this clinic. Despite receiving an email urging me to refer patients here for diagnostics, I cannot in good conscience do so after my own...
