My recent visit to the local liquor store left me feeling quite disappointed, thanks to an encounter with the white bearded man behind the counter. While I expected the staff at a liquor store to possess a certain level of knowledge about the products they sell, this particular employee seemed to be sorely lacking in that department.

Upon entering the store, I approached the counter and politely asked the white bearded man about a specific type of liquor I was interested in. To my surprise, he seemed clueless and unable to provide any guidance. I expected someone working in a liquor store to have a solid understanding of the products they stock, especially when it comes to different types of liquors.

His lack of knowledge and inability to answer my questions left me frustrated and unimpressed. It's crucial for liquor store employees to have a basic understanding of the products they sell, including the various types of liquors, their flavors, and their suitable uses. This ensures that customers can make informed decisions and have a pleasant shopping experience.

Furthermore, his demeanor was less than accommodating. Instead of apologizing for his lack of knowledge or offering assistance in finding someone who could help, he seemed disinterested and dismissive. Customer service plays a significant role in any retail environment, and this particular staff member clearly fell short in that regard.

While the store itself had a decent selection of liquors and a clean, organized layout, the negative encounter with the white bearded man left a sour taste in my mouth. It's disappointing to encounter an employee who lacks both product knowledge and customer...

The selection here is great, I give that piece 5 stars.. However, some staff might consider a different place of employment. Even as a resident of Ukee I am consistently served poor attitude and horrible customer service from the one 'kid' that works behind the counter. I can appreciate everybody has off days but this is every single time I visit the store. It's taken me months to write this review in hopes that person was just having a rough time or had things on their mind. It's clear to me now he just doesn't like people, which is a serious issue if you work in the service industry. I have long received great service from the Ucluelet Liquor Store; when visiting my family in Ucluelet, as well as now as a resident here. It has a very good selection of crafts beers, as well as nice selection of wines. It also delivers, which is huge thing for those without transport, especially with larger deliveries. I like, too, that it stocks the non-alcoholic Tofino Kombucha. Its liquor selection is good for a small store, nicely located centrally in this spectacular ocean...
