Stoneworks Bistro is a ripoff. I had their breakfast and lunch. I just wanted to see what the hype was regarding this place, as it was highly recommended by office staff including some of my bosses. I ordered their Denver ham breakfast sandwich. For lunch, I ordered their Dagwood sandwich, their cheeseburger macaroni soup and their top up. The breakfast sandwich was disappointing. It's just an omelet with ham and egg in the shape of a puck between two pieces of bread. The sandwich was about $4.50. For just $1 more I could have gone to McDonald's and had their delicious trio of sausage mcmuffin, hasbrown and small coffee, for just $1 more. Now that is a deal with McDonald's. The Dagwood sandwich was delicious but my complaint is the price and size. The owner had told me the sandwich was big, and my expectation was that the sandwich would be the size of a Subway 12 inch sub. Boy was I disappointed, the Dagwood sandwich was less than a 6 inch subway sandwich. I feel especially bad for the price I paid $12.95 plus tax and you cannot even put free extra toppings on your sandwich like Subway. The cheeseburger macaroni soup was OK, it was not mindblowing. It's not something I would order again. The top up was a totally rip off, it's just like a baked muffin with little bits of ham or bacon or vegetables stuck inside of it. Total waste of time and money. Please...
Read moreI’ve been walking by this place for a year now, and finally tried it the other day. The chef immediately gave me a warm greeting, and since I had never been there before, walked me through their entire menu. I decided on their pop up muffin/soup combo lunch special. The food was amazing, great flavour and very filling. They have many other options if soup isn’t your thing. Their prices are great/fair, really good value and bang for your buck. I ended up getting pop up muffin/soup combo card, which is $40 for 5 lunches. Doesn’t get much better then that for a filling, fresh, and tasty meal, especially in this economy.
To sum up, the service was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the prices are top notch. Will definitely be making this a...
Read moreI stopped to pick up lunch from Stoneworks Bistro for the first time today and will absolutely be back! I had beef barley soup and a bacon, mushroom & mozzarella popover (I think that's what they called it?). Both were so fresh and delicious - the beef barley soup is probably the best I've ever had, with lots of bits of beef and chunks of perfectly cooked carrots and celery. The fellow who helped me choose what to have was super great and the Denise, who rung up my meal, is so lovely and friendly. Truly a wonderful addition to...
