Bank of China (Hong Kong) — Local services in Hong Kong

Tried to close an overseas account for my elderly disabled mother. They caused so many issues and expected her to a computer genius to get things done. We live in the UK and there is an obvious time difference but they insist on calling me in the middle to the night and accusing us of not answering the phone. I dealt with a Ms Wai Yee CHAN who was an absolute nightmare. Accused us of not sending certain documents despite another member of staff confirming receipt of such docs. Had to resend costing more postages. Requesting her to email me instead of calling in the middle of the night/morning but she was so amazingly offended by such request. It took over 2 months to finally transfer the closing balance to our UK account. I kindly asked for a confirmation letter to confirm that the account was finally closed. I even asked if a copy could be emailed which should be on their file but was immediately refused and told to wait for the closing statement to be posted. I am so glad that I do not have to deal with this bank nor Ms Chan ever again. They might have a fancy building but terrible staff. ...

I have been a loyal customer for long time. They have upgraded in many aspects in the recent years. But the service quality seem sank significantly with the man-power shortage. All branches simply manage the routines regardless of service standard. Waiting times unacceptably long, general staffs not helpful, disappointing Relation Managers. I wrote 2 emails to Customer Service expressing my frustration over majority branches. No more follow up since. I wonder this is the crucial scenarios in the banking...

There are so many errors here. The address here is 1 Garden Road, that is BOC Tower, it is headquaters building, the one designed by Ieoh Ming Pei. Lots of photos here are Band of China Building, in which there is a subranch of BOC and China Club on the top floor. Hence, either change the name here or the address in Des Voux Road instead of Garden Road. I have tried to correct the error, but in vain. Google insists that it cannot...
