I recently took the Hong Kong Peak Tram and it was an amazing experience. The tram ride is a must-do activity for anyone visiting Hong Kong, as it offers breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas.
The tram itself is an engineering marvel, and the ride is very smooth and comfortable. As you make your way up to the top of the peak, you'll be treated to stunning panoramic views of Hong Kong's skyline, Victoria Harbour, and the surrounding mountains. The view from the peak is truly unforgettable and is a sight that every visitor should experience.
The entire experience is well-organized and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the tram operates regularly throughout the day, making it easy to plan your visit. The peak also offers a variety of dining and shopping options, making it a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.
Overall, I highly recommend the Hong Kong Peak Tram. It's a unique and unforgettable experience that offers stunning views of Hong Kong's natural beauty and is a must-do activity for anyone...
Read moreWhilst the tram itself is nice, clean, and offers good views, the queueing process to board the tram is absolutely miserable. I bought my ticket in advance (via klook) in the hope of reducing the time it would take to queue, but that was not the case. I went on a weekday and the queue was massive. The queue for people with tickets was actually bigger than the queue for those without, so if you had pre bought your ticket, you actually had to wait longer than those who hadn't.
Once in the queue, nobody was respecting the queue system and people were constantly jostling and trying to cut in line. It got so bad that 2 women actually started physically fighting each other in the line. The queue inside was a bit better as it was more orderly and had AC.
From beginning to queue to arriving at the peak it took 1.5 hours. The walk up to the peak only takes 1 hour, and honestly I wish I had just done that instead. If you are interested in riding the tram, I would recommend doing so in the early morning to try ans avoid the terrible...
Read moreA long wait in line for a view you can get from a number of city busses that also take you to the peak. We waited for about 20 minutes to board the tram (shorter than many other people had to wait), but as the tram was arriving in the station, an attendant told us to move to the front area "for easy boarding": terrible and ironic guidance that, objectively, made the boarding much more difficult. Everyone crowded to the front and fought their way onto the tram, such that some people who were behind us in line ended up getting a seat while we had to stand the whole way up, which was unpleasant, given the steep angle. We had to focus on staying upright and hanging on (no overhead handles) and so couldn't enjoy the view. It all made for a chaotic journey that was not worth 90 HKD. Even though we had a return ticket, we took the bus back down. Please trust me: save your money, spare yourself the aggravation, and...
