I recently had an amazing experience at the new Wind Bar & Restaurant by Plaisance in Central. This three-storey establishment is truly impressive, with its high-quality ambiance and extensive menu offerings.
First of all, the location is perfect, just across from Landmark, which saves you the hassle of walking up Central Cobblestone Street. As soon as you step inside, you'll be captivated by the bar's ocean-inspired theme, with each floor representing a different level of the sea. The modern decor, combined with the ambient lighting and music, creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends while sipping on delicious cocktails.
Speaking of cocktails, they have an exceptional selection. The bartenders are knowledgeable and provide detailed recommendations based on our preferences. I tried the Pacific Ocean cocktail, a delightful blend of Main Morando soda, Leche de Tigre cordial, sesame oil, chili, sake, and bourbon. The combination of flavors was unique and truly enjoyable. If you're a fan of red wine, their Black Sea cocktail, made with honey and pistachio Orgeat, Espresso Coffee, and Rakia, is a must-try. The rich coffee aroma and the lingering honey and pistachio aftertaste make it a delightful choice.
The food menu offers a variety of options as well. We indulged in their Sea French Fries, which were freshly fried and served with fish floss. The combination was surprisingly delicious, and it paired perfectly with our drinks. Additionally, we tried the Silver Pomfret Nuggets with Bernaise Sauce. The nuggets were made from cooked silver pomfret and accompanied by a homemade Béarnaise sauce with a delightful mix of flavors.
Overall, Wind Bar & Restaurant by Plaisance is a gem in Central. The attention to detail in both the drinks and food, combined with the stunning ocean-themed ambiance, creates a memorable dining experience. The staff was attentive, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. If you're looking for a unique bar and restaurant experience in Central, I highly recommend paying a visit to Wind Bar & Restaurant...

The highlight of the night when I went with my husband was meeting guest mixologist MARIO la PIETRA, who was the guest bartender. He crafted the Japanese Slipper and Espresso Carajillo (each at $160), one with a refreshing citrus taste, the other a definite favorite for coffee lovers, both with a layered complexity. Plus, the tapas offered by P Lounge are full of surprises, refined and delicious!
🌮 Sea Baby Tacos ($148) Mini Tacos with three flavors: lobster, octopus, and lime mackerel (2 pieces each). They are rich in taste and delicately presented, especially the lobster - so flavorful and a perfect match with drinks!
🧀 Cold Cut Platter ($188) The highlight of this cold cut platter is the homemade pistachio salami, served with crispy sourdough toast. It is truly unique and a must-have for the next visit with friends!
Additionally, I must mention that their Happy Hour is truly worth it! From Monday to Wednesday, between 17:00 and 22:00, drinks priced under $200 come with a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer, including a variety of ocean-themed cocktails and a selection of red and white wines. On Thursdays and Fridays, they even feature live music, creating a serene environment perfect for chatting with colleagues or friends over a couple of drinks and some...
