𝙊𝙡𝙚, the Spanish restaurant is one of my favourite place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions! Approaching to their 26th year in Hong Kong, a time-limited spring menu is newly launched! Including game dishes, the menu showed references from the spanish tradition of big game hunting Monterías. It truly reflects the culture from Spanish owner, Mr Carmelo Lopez’s home country. Live music from amazing guitarist and singers also sets the great vibes here.

A generous dish with 4-5 sweet scallops seared in golden brown color! My first time enjoying fried artichokes and it was interestingly good, tasted like chips! With parsnips added, the Parmentier is lighter in weight but remained silky smooth. A drizzle of truffle oil was just on point!
꙳ ⋆ 𓈒𓏸 鷓鴣肉鵝肝Canelon 麵卷配奶油忌廉汁 Golden Canelon Partridge, Porcini Mushrooms, Foie Gras & Truffle Béchamel
It is my favourite from the menu! Wrapped inside a Canelon, the unique and strong flavour from the shredded partridge meat was in great harmony with the mushroom and truffles, and creamy texture was great too!
꙳ ⋆ 𓈒𓏸 香煎鹿鞍扒配栗子野菌 Venison Stew with Chestnuts and Wild Mushrooms
Really rare winter dish to be found in HK! After pan-searing, the venison is still tender and juicy, stewed and served piping hot in the cast iron pot. The sauce permeates with the sweetness from pearl onions, chestnuts, and fragrance from red wine.
꙳ ⋆ 𓈒𓏸 香煎法國Challans鴨胸配西班牙血腸椰菜雲吞 Challans Duck Breast with Black Pudding and Apple Cabbage Raviolis & Port Reduction
On top of being visually appealing, it also tasted wonderfully with the top-notch Challans duck breast! Cooked perfectly pinkish in the core, the succulent meat goes well with the reduction from port wine and balsamic vinegar. Wrapped in cabbage as ravioli, freshness of apples goes well with the spices from the blood pudding!
꙳ ⋆ 𓈒𓏸 蒜蓉橄欖油海蝦 Garlic Shrimp "Gambas al Ajillo" Golden garlic slices and crispy shrimp infused all the flavours into the olive oil, make sure you dip your bread in the flavourful oil!

𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚃𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚜 - The tapas set the tone beautifully - house marinated olives, crisp Ali oli potatoes, and charred Padron peppers accompanied by artisan bread create a delightful introduction to Spanish flavors.
𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜 - 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙄𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝙬/ 𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 (7/10) It epitomizes classic tapas. The ham had rich nutty essence perfectly balanced by the bright tangy tomato bread, creating an interplay of savoury and acidic notes.
𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙯𝙯𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙨 (7.5/10) It arrives dramatically, oil still boiling hot with aromatic garlic that tantalizes the senses.
𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙗 “𝙏𝙭𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙤” (7.5/10) It exemplified coastal Spanish cuisine - delicately extracted, sweet, and generously portioned. Its flavor paired perfectly with crusty bread, offering a sublime textural experience that celebrated the ingredient's natural essence.
𝙎𝙖𝙪𝙩é𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤 𝙬/ 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 & 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 (6.5/10) It delivered a savory, robust flavor that displayed the kitchen's expertise. Perfect complement to bread.
𝙼𝚊𝚒𝚗 - 𝙇𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 (6/10) It revealed a complex narrative. The seafood was impeccably prepared - the lobster was tender and not a moment overcooked. However, the dish was slightly hindered by an overpowering saltiness that obscured the rice's delicate flavors and marine nuances.
𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚝- 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙬/ 𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙗é (7.5/10) The dessert, flambéed tableside with orange liquer, boasted a silky-smooth texture. Its creamy richness was completed by bright citrus notes and caramelised sugar crust.
𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙙 & 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙬/ 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 (7/10) It struck a delicate balance - sophisticated yet not overly sweet.

Read moreAs soon as I heard that there was a delicious Spanish restaurant in Hong Kong, I had to go try it out! The dishes were full of flavor, with a strong tendency to use plenty of garlic. Rather than a beautiful presentation of the dishes, I was more impressed with the large portions...perhaps to appeal to hungry males? I ordered the following 4 dishes: Air-dried Iberico beef, rockets & Manchego petals Garlic shrimps Clams Andalusian style Traditional Spanish seafood paella Slow roasted Suckling pig in the Segovia way
They are all delicious, but I hightly recommend the paella. The flavorful soup is soaked up by each grain of rice, and I have to say that it may be the best paella I've ever had! However, you should order it when you still have room in your stomach to truly enjoy this dish. Since I had ordered other dishes before the paella arrived, I was already pretty full and wasn't able to enjoy it to the full potential, which was a big regret for me the next morning. The service is outstanding as well. However, after finishing the Garlic shirmps, the server cleared the plate before I was able to dip some bread in the sauce to enjoy every last bit. Everything else was perfect though. They also have live singers in the restaurant! This truly was an enjoyable dining experience with such delicious food and live entertainment. The lighting in the restaurant was pretty dark during dinner, so I hope to visit again during...
