We booked this hotel through Kayak as it was listed as having a pool. I had a quick glance and it appeared to have a small pool. What they actually have isn’t a pool by any stretch of the imagination, it’s basically a bit bath with dirty water in it, or a jacuzzi which doesn’t have bubbles.||We stayed for 3 nights and on the second morning, I was on my way to the local laundrette, which offers a 3 hour service. The cleaning lady stopped me on the way out, and insisted that she did it. She charged more, but I thought it would be convenient, so I went with her. I checked whether she could do it quickly, as I needed the clothes back, and she said she would leave them in our room at 5pm. On returning back from a day of hiking at 7pm, they were not there, so I chased. The young boy on reception tried to contact her but couldn’t, and he couldn’t find the clothes, so I had to wear the wet and dirty clothes I’d been hiking in for an evening out. ||On the third morning, they were there and she had cleaned them, but was more interested in chasing me for payment than apologising or explaining why they were late. ||The same day, we also asked for fresh towels, as they hadn’t changed them since we arrived. The lad on reception said he would bring them when he’d finished his paperwork, which seemed to be updating his social media. ||He eventually brought some, but a few minutes later he reappeared asking for the dirty towels back, which we were about to use for the ‘pool’. The cleaning lady was on the phone to him at the same time, presumably the same one who was so elusive when it came to our washing, anxious that we didn’t steal the towels…||Pictures are misleading, the breakfast looks nothing like this. There are two options, a big pancake or garlic toast with eggs. It’s fine, but very basic. We had to constantly chase for more coffee after being given half a cup.||The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain at all, so it was filthy.||The aircon was very weak, but eventually didn’t cool the room down.||The room was quite nice but had no external windows and there was a flower pot by the bed which attracted mosquito lavre.||The hotel is incredibly loud, as it’s next to all the bars and constantly beeping taxis - they can’t do much about this to be fair but it should be considered if you’re after a quiet night. ||On the last day after we’d checked out, we collected luggage and asked to have a quick shower by the pool, and the young lady on reception was very helpful, even offering us nice new towels rather than the ragged old ones we’d had in the room. Other than her, the rest of the staff were quite disinterested...
Read moreGreat location, comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice pool. The women working in the kitchen were the sweetest and the best staff interactions we had— they were extremely welcoming and made us feel like family every day at breakfast.
However the man at the front desk (in the morning) with the slightly slicked back longer brown hair had absolutely unacceptable behavior. Upon arriving, my friend and I began to take our luggage as he clearly did NOT look like he wanted to help us. From there his attitude kept getting worse— we would have a question and he met with an eye roll. God forbid he took the time to look up a taxi for my friend and I. When we were getting ready to leave, I mentioned that we may have left the key in the room because I could t find it in my bag, implying that he should check before we check out(to avoid fees). My friend mentioned that he looked at her when I said that and rolled his eyes; as IF he didn’t have to do his job. We were beyond polite to this man and he gave us nothing but attitude.
I have been to 19 countries and have stayed at various hostels, hotels, and apartments. This is by far the WORST service I’ve ever had from a front desk person who is supposed to be cordial, especially if we were nothing but.
I am shocked at this man working in the hospitality industry and he is very unwelcoming and sour person. I hope this hotel gets it together and provide some kind of training for him on how to interact with and treat people because this was not it. In addition to everything that happened he did not even offer to help us with our bags when we left and a different male guest in the lobby offered instead looking shocked at his behavior. How sad the other guests are more willing to do this work than a...
Read moreWe arrived and booked 2 nights, I left my laundry to get washed in my bag with reception the first night. They informed me it would be one day to finish. I accidentally left a large amount cash in my bag when I gave my laundry, it was in a side zipper. I realized the next day I did this and sent to go check my bag. At this time my laundry was finished, I checked my bag immediately and it was gone. I questioned the women if she found any cash and the bag and she said no. I went to reception and informed them that someone had stolen my money directly out of my bag. I found out that they take the laundry to the cleaning ladies house, outside of the hotel(this was not expressed to me in advance). After informing the management they called me a liar and claimed that everyone there was honest and no one robs.. they made a mockery of my situation and laughed at me. I went to the police to file a report but they were not much help because I needed to file a report at a different office to be able to look at the cameras and I didn’t have time for that. I was very upset in the moment and because of the they forcefully canceled my reservation for the next night saying I was being rude. After packing up they insisted on taking my credit card to credit me back but I did not feel safe anymore and chose to take care of the return of the money with booking.com overall it was a terrible experience and I do not recommend staying here as there is someone in the...
