Marrakech Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Santa Marta

Terrible experience, I took about 1 hour for our food to be ready. Around 40 after we ordered, the waitress came to the table to asked us to be more patient assuring the order was gonna be ready in less than 10 min, we agreed and waited patiently the additional "less than10 minutes" that turned out to be more than 15... I looked for our waitress to tell here that if the food wasn't ready we were leaving, she said it was ready and they were bringing it right away... I sat down and waited more than 5 min (at that point we were losing it), we decided to leave and pay only for the drinks. After heading to the register the waitress and telling the waitress to give us the bill for the drinks she made us wait about extra 5 minutes (another 5 minutes) to have enough time to bring the food 😳

Giving the circumstances you would expect the manager to be pretty understanding, to apologize and offer something to make up for the experience... However, it was pretty overwhelmed because all the waiters came in with the food on their hands making excuses and asking us to stay just to be cool... One of us asked for a discount or something similar and they offered us drinks...

At the end the fool was ok, personally I don't think my plate was worth 20.000 you can get better food anywhere else there for the same money. The order arrived incomplete (missing french fries sides) and cold....

I only give it 2 starts instead of 1 because one of the managers came before we left and apologized pretty nicely and didn't charge us the drinks we had, he was understanding and friendly (as it should have been since the beginning)... I hope this review helps you to improve the...

This is a REAL review. Let’s begin by saying how much the staff pressure their guest to review them on Google and trip advisor I mean literally they tell you how the servers get compensated by our review. So this makes me wonder how many of these reviews are actually real. Here’s my experience. based on google reviews we choose the place (ironically) The service and the food were just plain OK I ordered a mojarra (fried fish) and it was OK Not much flavor to it, my husband ordered a shawarma platter (picada) the steak was hard as a rock. Made the mistake of not looking at the reviews. We had the meza plate to share. So little Lebanese bread. We had to order 2 more servings in order to eat the food. The food was not done correctly. Very plain tasting, needed to add lime salt and tahini to give it some taste.

Also check the cheque. They charged us 8k more for a dish and only changed it when I showed them the price on the menu.

it also took an hour to bring out. Not sure why since it's just dip and cut up bread.

Do not recommend unless they improve their cooking standard.

If they ever read this. Please google out recipes of hummus and other middle Eastern dishes. Your place is cute, don't let that go down the sink with bad food and...
