Monteverde House — Local services in Monteverde

My wife and I stayed here recently, and were very impressed! Great place to stay when in Monteverde. Very close to the Curi-Cancha reserve, so you feel like you are in nature and will likely see some interesting animals during your stay. The rooms are large and clean. There is a full kitchen, which we didn't use, but it's nice to know that we could have used it if we had been staying a bit longer. Our host, Marcela was lovely, very communicative and helpful, which we appreciated as we were delayed in getting to Monteverde. We felt extremely welcome as soon as we arrived, and she helped us organize a tour guide at the Curi-Cancha reserve (10min walk away) for the next day on short notice. She also provided recommendations where we could eat and even left us some fruit to snack on - all in all, we felt like we were very welcome, which was a nice feeling after a long day's drive. How wonderful was it to stay in Monteverde House with its fully equipped kitchen and fantastic washing machine, which washes and dry clothes within an hour. Nestled at the edge of the Curi-Cancha Reserve it is a haven for bird and wildlife watching. Excellent views of the cloud forest and sunsets. 100 m from a bus stop, 200 m from supermarket restaurants, cafe and shops. The owners are excellent communicators. They will organise tours and arrange pick ups from the bus station. Plenty of on-site parking. It is really lovely to wake up and hear birds chirping! Location of the property - You can literally see the sunset sitting in your bedroom. Bird chirping. I saw multiple birds sitting right on the front patio. Villa is surrounded with lot of trees and plants. It is right next to Reserve Curi Cancha. Marcela was extremely helpful right from the check-in to check-out. Special shoutout to Marcela and her husband and her friends who came and help us to get our car from the mud. We were getting late for the airport in SJO and our car was stuck in the mud.
