This was located within walking distance from our lodge. It does get a lot of people to see the colorful sunset, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. You have to get there early, may about 15-30 minutes before sunset. There are a few benches, which also get occupied quickly. We did witness a colorful sunset, but there is construction equipment and some debris that mar the foreground of the picture. That's why I rated it at 4 stars.

Walking in the clouds is not a euphemism here. This Preserve has amazing trails that are easy to follow. Many are accessible for any hiker.

There aren’t any tickets, it’s just a spot on the side of the road to see the sunset. You can even see the Gulf of Nicoya in the distance. I definitely recommend this if you...

Viewpoint just beside the main street in Cerro Plano. Free. Better if you can hike there because there are usually too many cats parked...
