Hi, I visited the salon yesterday. I've been going there since 2020. I would like to write an honest review about my experience at this place.
Whenever I visit, even though the lady recognizes me and heard her say so - I have never seen her smile or greet me warmly. It is a cold environment. There is a man who speaks English there who is kind. He is the only one I would recommend consulting at this salon, but I have never had him as my hair dresser since I didn't make an appointment with him directly.
Yesterday I called last minute and was assigned a new hairdresser. This is a man I have never met. My usual lady who does my hair - Marie-Jo was busy. It was the worst experience I've ever had in Paris with my hair. This man was so rude and burnt my scalp. He got irritated with me because I was unhappy with the haircut and he refused to continue styling my hair after a certain point and wouldn't speak to me directly since I don't speak French. He was rude, impolite and not warm in his way at all. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He continued to pull at my hair aggressively - completely aware that it was hurting me. And when drying my hair - he put the hair dryer so close to my scalp that it was burning me - quite painfully. I immediately reacted and told him to stop, and he shrugged his shoulders and said to me that it's how it is. I told him to stop, it's too hot. In the end, my haircut was horrible. He did not even dry it well, it was not blown out properly - AT ALL. and charging quite a hefty fee for a haircut and blow dry, I was surprised to see that my hair did not even look nice in the end. I don't know his name, but I don't recommend this place at all, except the man who speaks english. He was nice and helped me. Everybody else was so rude and uptight. Horrible experience. I hope you will reflect and no body will have an experience like I...
Read moreI received my second haircut from Edouard last week and I am blown away every day when I look in the mirror by how perfect this cut is for my face and my style.
My first visit to Edouard was last fall after the second confinement (and after a series of self-chops to fix a botched cut with another stylist). I went in without any photos and asked him to shape the style and take away the bulky parts without taking away any length. The cut was really subtle and similar to a razor-cut bob, but with scissors, and I was really happy with the way it came out, so I decided to visit him again half a year later.
This time around, I was a little more bold and went for a shaggy mullet with blonde highlights. Edouard really understood my vibe and what I wanted without me needing to explain myself too much. The cut and bleach were done with such care and concern to my face shape and personal style and I knew I was in good hands when he dry-cut my curls before washing my hair. It’s really rare to find a hairstyle that is totally you and that you love at every angle. It’s even more rare to find a hairstylist to get you there, especially when you have naturally curly/wavy hair. And it’s even even more rare to find a hairstylist with such an amazing personality! Edouard makes every difficulty with getting a new haircut just disappear. He is truly a gem in every regard and I cannot recommend him enough...
Read moreEdouard is such an excellent hairstylist. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he is so sweet, friendly, and very interesting to talk to. Of course he is also very professional and happy to listen and provide sound advice on how best to do one's hair. You can tell that he absolutely cares about doing the best for his client by the way he interacts and gives you solid advice, and this is something extremely rare to find. I should add that I have lived in various countries and by far this has been the best and most dedicated hairstylist I have ever had. Edouard fully understands various professional hair shampooing products which I really appreciate too. I cannot recommend him enough and have already booked my colour with him...
