Viking — Local services in Paris

Don't be fooled by their European Cruises ads. We booked a bucket list vacation of a lifetime-very expensive. We were sent an email two (2) days prior to departure advising us of a "POSSIBLE" problem with water levels that might require us to change ships due to an Inability to stay on our booked boat. This was something that they were aware seven weeks prior to our departure date and too Late for any real refunds, not to mention insurance paid. The cruise became a "MOTOR COACH" trip instead. At times anywhere between two(2) to Six (6) hours being motor crossed Swz & Germany to Paris. To add insult to injury we arrived back home to find out we got COVID from being confined to hours of motor coach exposure to other passengers who apparently were sick but would not wear masks. So again don't entrust your life savings to VIKINGS' false advertising, they cannot be trusted. They should have called and given us other options. I did rate two (2) stars due to their river cruise staff of the HERJA/HILD for doing their very best for their unhappy passengers under these...

This was my first experience on any type of cruise and I am glad that I picked Viking to truly make this experience one I will never forget. The Paris and Normandie river cruise was a week long excursion that allows you to see some of the best gems these areas have to offer. The service on the ship itself was excellent and the food was beyond five stars. I wish all hotels and restaurants had the service that Viking provides. The Program Director (Mia) of the ship I was on really got to know those staying on the ship and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. She was even able to get last minute reservations for my family at the Michelin star restaurant, La Couronne. I felt safe the whole time I was on the ship and the rooms and common areas were...

Had a very wonderful cruise trip and enjoyed the food and the ports. However, we were nickel & dimed at every turn on board. This was very inconvenient and they flagged out card even though everything was taken care of the night before. On top of that we were in the airport transport crowd & waited 3 hours in line for a bus. This is after getting our bags and going through customs. When we finally got to the airport, the driver dropped us at international flights and said everyone off. We were at the other end of airport. My husband traveled with Royal Carribean in the past & said they have better transportation services. We will be using them for our choice of cruise line...
